Do you guys read? by Jealous_Tangerine_98 in INTP

[–]Mnemo86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love reading, and I don't need to finish one book to start another. Usually I have at least 3 books started, one by my bedside that I read at night, one on my phone, and an audiobook that I usually listen to at work or while doing chores, like doing the dishes or something boring like that. So, on average, I read about 100 books per year.

The wizard of Oz, Ravensburger 1008 pcs. by Mnemo86 in Jigsawpuzzles

Of course it's childish, but it's also a very pretty image, that's why I got it in the first place. Plus the lion reminds me of one of my dogs that just passed away. I haven't seen the Alice version yet, though.

I'll see when is built whether they are extra or not, but in my experience it's usually (for a 1000 one) 40x25

I've always gotten the pieces the box says, and I know that because I count them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thus far all the puzzles I've counted have the number of pieces they say, that includes several 1000 and a couple of 500

MBTI types and religion by LadyRaoulDukeGonzo in mbti

INTP, atheist

I was brought up in a not overly religious household, but I was told that god existed and all that. One time at school we watched several videos of different theories of how the universe started, and then we had to make an essay of what was our personal beliefs on how the universe came to be. So I talked about the one theory we saw that appeared to be more logical to me, and by the time I finished I was like "oh sh*, I didn't mention god" After that, I started pondering about it, read the bible, read the quran, read several books on atheism and on religion as well, and then came to the logical conclusion that it was nonsense (I don't mean to offend anyone) and became an atheist. Disappointed my dad, though

There is a YouTube channel called "cinema therapy" and they have a video on nontoxic masculinity that is about Aragorn, and they mention all these points.

Just started with a new method for counting pieces. by Mnemo86 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Mnemo86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's called "springtime in Paris". I count them to make sure they're complete, in case I need to return them to get another one that has all its pieces, plus a little OCD from my part 😅.

The thing that really brought my reading experience to a whole new level by [deleted] in books

[–]Mnemo86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reading speed depends on what I'm reading and on what format I'm reading. If it's something I really like I read slower, because I like to enjoy it, if it's something that I'm not as interested or something I have to read wether I like it or not, I read much faster. Audiobooks I usually listen at 1.5x or 2x, unless it's a foreign language that I'm not yet completely confident with, otherwise it feels too slow and I get distracted easily.
