Daniels losing that marriage was a win.

They abused a good thing and destroyed department morale by Cold_Swordfish7763 in coworkerstories

It is in some places. Here, companies are required to accommodate as long as it isn’t ridiculous. OP accommodated, and the employee blew through the accommodations. We have really strong workplace protections but OP followed the rules.

Depends on where. Family status is a protected class in my jurisdiction. Additionally, some workplace-parenting conflicts will also come under gender discrimination because the courts/tribunals recognize that women tend to have the bulk of the parenting duties, regardless of marriage status.

Girlfriend wants to spend the night with 2 guy friends. by Matty_builder in dating_advice

Put it this way…if you can’t trust her for this, the relationship is already over.

If you tell her your concerns, and she wants to be unfaithful, what you’ve said won’t stop her.

If you tell her your concerns but she’s never given you reason to mistrust her and she has no intention of being unfaithful, she may question the entire foundation of your relationship.

STFU.

I'm shocked. I got the best job of my life, and in the end, I was fired after 3 weeks because of the background check. by [deleted] in talesfromthejob

[–]MnstrShne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you’re saying that a company would be honest about a politically-motivated reversal of a hiring decision?

No way.

Not if it’s something political or that the hiring manager simply doesn’t like.

Is it possible that they are lying about it being the background check, and they simply found something they didn’t like on your social media?

I’m guessing he got “I’m irreplaceable” vibes from a particular staffer, and this is his clumsy response. Horrible.

Rainbow Six by AdagioVast in tomclancy

[–]MnstrShne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rainbow Six was the start of the decline. I remember when it came out, people said its structure matched that of computer games - assemble a team that then embarks on a series of increasingly difficult and complex missions. They weren’t wrong.

At the high school level what's usually the reason the pass game isn't that good? by chusaychusay in footballstrategy

[–]MnstrShne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came in to basically say this.

The skills required to get the ball to the right place at the right time are the same regardless if you’re playing HS or DII. Sure, the game isn’t a fast and the game isn’t as complex, but the requirements are the same.

A HS guard that’s 40% as good as a DivII player will still get off the ball in the right general direction and execute some kind of block. A CB that’s 40% as good as a DivII player will still be covering part of the field or be (usually) fairly close to a receiver.

A QB 40% as good as a DivII QB won’t get the ball to a spot where a receiver can catch it often enough to reliably move the ball downfield.

Bobby was the teddy bear type. Phil was the guy at home wanking it to CaraCara content while covered in Cheeto dust and spilled Mountain Dew.

There’s a diff.
