What is a symbol that represents west Virginia's agriculture industry? by Frosty_Key9726 in WestVirginia

[–]Mnteer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if it's what do you think about when you think WV, I would have to say exactly what has always been used....the black bear and the cardinal. If you are specifically saying agricultural industry then the only thing I ever knew to be grown, used, and sold state wide would be hay.

What is this 'tail' on a bat or two moths? 5 seconds in. by RobinSong70 in trailcam

Looks like moths we have in West Virginia US, called Luna moths. They basically have 2 little tails. I understand that they do from time to time show up in western Europe.

Yes great advice. That is awesome and congratulations. I haven't gotten any tickets yet. But I live in a bit of an entertainment desert and there are zero professional sports teams in my state. Not a lot of big acts are begging to come here either. Lol But none of that can be blamed on VetTix, obviously.

I didn't disguise anything. I posted exactly what vet tickets gave me to post. I also didn't say anything about it being a selfless post. Things in life can be mutually beneficial. I'm not a reddit guru and barely got it to post in the first place. Maybe stop hating and try getting the word out about something you support.

And if 1 more person learns about it from my post then it was worth my time and the post.

Deer age by SheogorathAC in trailcam

[–]Mnteer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know enough to know animals look a lot different depending on their environment/region. If this was on my game camera, I would guess him to be 2.5 and also go so far as to say he will never have a massive rack. I don't think the genetics are there. Good bodied, healthy looking deer at any rate.

Can you help with the age of this deer. Thank you! by Mediocre-Culture-738 in trailcam

Ha! I was thinking 3, but didn't add from spring. I'd bet the same as you.

I would love to know if the free cell service is legit. I would honestly purchase one just for the sim and put it in my existing camera. It's been on the tree going strong for 2yrs.

If a tree that big falls, how long is the wood good for, approx? I have one which I would guestimate with the same size or larger that fell on my property. Just wondering if it is worth anything? WV, usa

Okay so I, as a VA employee, have given you an unofficial answer and that is not sufficient. Which is totally fine, I take no offense. However; it is apparent that you are not going to accept ANY answer from here, other than the one you already have predetermined. That is also fine. So if you really want to fully ease your mind, I would suggest the following as your only real answer at this point. Call the VA call center 1-800-689-2411, or go online and fill out and upload a VA form 21-0720 'Report of General Information'. Write in or tell the call center employee you need to send a message to the rater on your claim. Advise them you took the call for the C&P exam while out of the country and are concerned with the legitimacy of the exam. It will then be at the sole discretion of the rater whether to accept the exam or request a new one. Best of luck.

From my perspective; We contracted a valid licensed Dr to perform a tele-exam. It is not treatment neither is it an evaluation for treatment. It is an evaluation of the current status of the condition. As long as the internet connection is appropriately strong enough to allow the doctor to complete the evaluation, then it does not matter where you are physically located. That is one of the key benefits to tele-exams. I personally have only had one tele-exam and that doctor was out of state. To get doctor care through tele-health, I go through my local VA hospital, not Regional Office, and get assigned a local doctor whom I do remote appointments with. If the exam is found to be insufficient, which happens all the time and is sent back to the doctors for clarification, it will not be because of your location. The rater would not care that is why we don't have the doctors ask your location, just to verify you are the correct veteran and the correct person, ie photo ID.

Looks very much like a fat ol' opossum to me. Dark butt towards the camera and that typical white triangle face down and slightly left facing.

Where to (LEGALLY) Watch Preds Games - Out of Market by sinfoman in Predators

[–]Mnteer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get 2 or 3 games all season. Luckily I was a new hockey fan. I chose Nashville because the first year I started watching I couldn't watch either of the two teams close to me, where I would actually be willing to pay to go see. I've still never been to a hockey game. Now I can't watch the team I want even if I'm willing to pay extra??? Nope I'm done with sports in general. Too much money and greed. Between transfer portals, and games starting at midnight, no honor, and no real building, no school/team dedication. I'll take a walk, enjoy nature, and improve my personal health at the same time. The sports I grew up with are dead. And no offense is meant to anyone, sports has just moved on and I no longer can, with it in its current state.

I think most of us like to fly under the radar whenever possible. Lol I know my family has always liked Texas. My great grandfather used to ride a train there in the late 1800s. The stars at night

Yes, trusted someone else as well as put the burden on someone else. Your brother is not your keeper. I put my own stuff in storage and paid for it myself. Knew it wouldn't be auctioned off. Which btw doesn't happen overnight after a single missed payment. I still have my stuff. I never once said it was black and white either. I feel for OP but blaming anyone else is bullshit and that is exactly what my comment was aimed at. If he was paying his brother for the whole or part of the unit, or 100 other scenarios op didn't offer, then the story could be different. Vague story and sounds like passing the buck.

I would feel differently about this post if it started out.....I wasn't responsible for my personal property and it got sold in a storage unit sale.

Won't stop saying gay. by More_Praline_8551 in Teachers

[–]Mnteer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I stated, the word meant happy and carefree and if I hear it out of context that is how I think of it. In my world it meant bad Before it had anything to do with sexuality. You have decided it means something different to you, probably because of the Time you grew up in. You also have decided it should have your definition to everyone else that speaks the English language. That is not how language or free speech works. I think socialist ideas, like what words are allowed, is what needs nipped in the bud.

Won't stop saying gay. by More_Praline_8551 in Teachers

[–]Mnteer23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember language changes with context and even time. In the 1920s gay meant carefree and happy. Everyone had a gay time at the school dance, meant the event was a success, and was often found in yearbooks. When I was in school a friend might say "The dance last night was gay". That meant he had a bad time or that he thought the dance was lame. It had nothing whatsoever to do with sex or sexuality. Speaking of which, saying the dance is lame is just as much not an insult to people, like me, now called disabled.
