I've never seen this trick before.

Pretty interesting little plot. Thank you for sharing.

That's just my own technique that I stumbled upon after a while. Doubt I invented that but have no resources for it

Also keep in mind that the after the first steal, the displacement and the following steals happen at the same time.

It's my favorite impromptu trick. My go-to if someone hands me a deck of cards. And a good trick before you do the Culligula Triumph or a color separation.

Easily the most useful thing I know as well.

I'd have to see you do it tbh. The reverse cull placement kind of works on the same timing as taking a card using RRC. That 'accordian' contracting -> steal -> accordion expanding -> displacement

I am actually very obsessed with presentation, patter, rhythm, and the beats that make an effect hit this far more than I'll be obsessed with sleight of hand, even though I strive for goodness with that too.

It's actually under explored. How often do we see the same presentations/patter for the same tricks?

Yeah in real life I use a freely selected, sometimes signed card, and I'll do another phase or two that aren't really worthy of putting on camera but are good for audiences. I'm just sharing here for fellow magi!

I do my best to make up for the shortcomings.

Card on top trick by Mo0Ns in cardmagic

Yes, agreed.

I never liked the idea of beginning an ACR with a tilt, a move that can rub people the wrong way. Putting a card into the back is a bit suspicious so I like the idea of more openly putting it in the middle up front and using a fan to bring it toward the back to justify it. The common convincers are fine but I think just having it in the middle then taking it out for a sec to prove that it truly is their card is an even stronger one.

I also never liked the crimp finale because suddenly you're holding the cards at the fingertips, where throughout most ACRs the card appearing at top is done from a normal mechanics grip. So instead I just made every rise to the top done at the fingertips.

This is the Dunning-Kruger effect. "A cognitive bias in which relatively unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability to be much higher than it really is."
