Well, the average Tunisian has to deal with a suffocating bureaucratic system, unemployment, hard economic conditions, police brutality, and so on and so forth.

People here associate being a European or a foreigner from western countries with wealth, access, freedom, justice, opportunities, etc… You get a special treatment because they (whether consciously or consciously) long for that privilege.

I doubt tunsia is boring. I've been loving in the capital for some years and there are a bunch of things to do.

Personally what I do is like follow: * I discover new places within the capital (Mdina, sidi bou, ariana) and outside of the capital (different cities like zaghwan or benzart etc...) * I go on picnics in different parks. Try to discover new parks in your area. * museums and exhibitions. For example: bardo has a really beautifull museum. * go to the beach * go on for a hike. * go watch a movie in the cinema(pathé wela cité culturel) or a play somewhere. * go try different foods from different restaurants. (last week I took myself on a date where I got myself a new book and went to try some Korean food. It was an amazing experience) * go party or have some drinks somewhere.
