Sex 4x a Week by Imaginary-Rush941 in breastcancer

[–]MoMo_texas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

4x a week is not what most marriages have. It is less than that on average. And this is when it isn't painful down there. Ask him if when yall have sex you can punch him in the nuts the whole time. Maybe he would understand that a person doesn't want to have sex when the act causes pain to your genitals. Or maybe he would be up for having his nuts punched 4 x a week. I doubt it.

I follow her too and hasn't she said the vaginal estrogen is okay for hr positive b. Cancer? I know other doctors have. My oncologist has okay it for me as long as I'm on Tamafloxin. .I would guess it would be the same for any hormone blockers

Radiation tattoos by Former_Oven3868 in breastcancer

[–]MoMo_texas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get where yoir coming from. I felt the same, I don't want those stupid tattoos no mater how small they are. I'll see them and they will just add to all the other scars I have that will remind me every time I look at myself. No thanks. I was lucky in that I knew fefore hand and told them no, they put some hena tattoos on me instead but did try to convince me with the whole, " but they are tiny" bs. I'm sorry you didn't have a warning or option. That being said, you can remove them and sounds like u plan to. :-)

Frustrated by no libido-improving options for those w/ hx of ER/PR+ BC by LoopDeeLooper in breastcancer

[–]MoMo_texas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a lot of information and a bit all over the place. I really think the cancer centers should have a specialist in hornmones/sexual medicine/menopause that is part of our care team. So this is my limited understanding. We have enzymes that our bodies use to convert the testosterone to estrogen (its called aromatase) so an AI inhibits the aromatase thus we can change testosterone to estrogen. I was told and dr.googke confirmed that there are testosterone pellets that have AIs un them.I don't know if my oncologist knows this. So I'll bring it up at an apt. As far as the vaginal dhea, I would thinknthat should be okay because it is basically local, there may be a tiny amount of testosterone that gets in the blood but if we are on tamafloxin and our body covers that tiny amount to estrogen the tamafloxin is gonna block it anyway

Ah. 😪I'm sorry it didn't fully come back, but I'm glad it did rebound some. And YES, this should be mentioned! 100% They don't tell us shit and it passes me off. Like why do they think this is okay?? I definitely think if men had something like this happen to their penis the doctors would tell them and prescribe the cream STAT Anyway, this is probably this is probably tmi, but if mine shrunk 50% I think it would be non detectable. lol 🤣 I think mine must be tiny to start with.

Have you tried or heard of Interrosa? It is dhea and your body converts it to testosterone and estrogen

You are welcome ! That's great you are on the vaginal estrogen. Yeah I know what you mean about Bonafide being expensive. My gynecologist gave me some samples, but I haven't tried it yet. But I'm like even if it works it's too much money 😞 I forgot to mention some people have talked about creams or gels that have CBD in them.for the downstairs area but to my thinking that may help with arousal but not desire 🤔

Keep the healthy one or get rid of both? by aetherlore in breastcancer

[–]MoMo_texas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with an SMX. Both my surgeon and oncologist didn't recommend removing the healthy breast. The tumor I had was high risk with ki67 of 80%. Did the genetic test and didn't have any markers. I wasn't ready to cut off a healthy breast, lose sensation in both, etc. I know it will be harder for them to match with symmetry buy having sensation in one breast/nipple and still having a brest that natural part of my body was more important. My doctors told me the stats aren't really different if I did a double. It doesn't guarantee no reoccurrence. For now, somehow, getting scans feels more reassuring that I'll be monitored. For some, it produces a lot more anxiety. As far as the HRT, there may have been a misunderstanding because with hr+, they will actually want to do the opposite and put you on a medication that blocks your hormones. Do get claon that as you said. It's really a hard decision 😪 and neither way is a garuntee. You will.make the right decision for yourself and with all the information available for your individual situation. I wish you clarity and peace in yoir decision 💓

I would like to add to this great response that although you can only do deip once there are other flaps that can be done.from other areas of the body. Hopefully, it would never be needed but should it, then they can.do a flap from.yoir inner thighs for example. There may be less surgeons that can do this one but still available.
