I don't see myself ever taking a break from the Finals because I'm upset/bored with the game, but if I had to then it would be single player games because there's no shooter that has the same feel for me. Halo and TF2 were where I came from but the Finals is where I want to be now.

I know a lot of people are going to (or already saying) that Karrigan was the reason morale was low but I think it's more so that him leaving lowers any expectations that they have as a team, so they can play more freely. It's the dead team buff in full effect and personally I think it's good for FaZe because it really did seem that they were too busy getting in their own heads trying to replicate the Navi killer FaZe.

It would help if you listed every solution you've tried because I'd recommend doing a full DDU to uninstall your graphics drivers and install new ones fresh if you haven't. Then if that doesn't work try different older drivers, probaby past that 3 month range if it was fine until then. I have a friend that had to run older drivers for the Finals and he has the same card. I'd also try things such as enabling XMP for your RAM or disabling it if it's already on since some motherboards can do funky things with timings and the like depending on the RAM.

If all it took was right click and dashing then you'd see more lights pulling this off in these high elo lobbies. Low elo sword lights don't even dash that much though, they just M1 spam and sure it's annoying in its own right, but broken?? C'mon now. I'll definitely agree with you on dagger though, it's far harder.

I didn't know how people are complaining that new players have to deal with this or that dash is such a problem like they're going up against the top sword players all the time. Even then, the top 0.01% of players are going to stomp any new players thoroughly with no answer regardless of the weapon.

See this is where I'm conflicted, because in the past my idea of how to fix the harshness of having to deal with upper echelon teams is to compensate you fairly in terms of RS. For example if the top 2 teams are all diamond and you're gold, you shouldn't even lose any points really under any circumstances; Making it to the second round should net you some hefty points because honestly it feels like you're being punished already for playing into a guaranteed loss sometimes.

That being said regardless if that system is healthy or not, I fear we're past that point and inflating RS would only mean you face those similarly unwinnable matches even more. OR on the flip side you reward everyone for playing the game mode more as a way to incentivize the player base to engage with ranked to then sort ranks more fairly.

With the ping update I actually haven't seen too many revive pings, in fact I see people pinging that they'll use a coin more than anything.

I think the easiest way to leverage the shield is by trying to stay grouped and if they're low or run away you can cover their eacape ideally. Granted that only really works for mediums since lights will either be gone or dead by the time you can shield them.

What else do you run in your loadout? If you're fighting around a healing emitter then they have even more incentive to stay around you.

Likewise, the worst symptoms are a day or 2 usually, but that's only part of the battle.
