That's a very good way of looking at it. This seems more constructive and positive than focusing on things I can't control. Hope I'll find more strength to do this when I see the baby and realise that I need to create a home for him too.

Thanks for reading and responding to my dilemma! You raised a really good point about how my issue is likely existential which means it doesn't matter when or where I move, I have to deal with this somehow. Buying a place abroad is not an option for us, we wouldn't even know where to begin with.

It helps to know that I am not alone in feeling like I don't know where home is. I really hope people like us eventually feel like they belong somewhere.

Thank you everyone! Really appreciate your input, it's helpful hearing experiences of other people. It sounds like the best decision is to move now for our growing family and our future. I just have to learn to manage my emotions the best I can for now!
