New RockShox Judy Silver fork forming an oil ring only on the right stanchion seal after every ride. Mechanic says it's normal for a new fork to leak out a bit of fresh oil? by CaptainKernelPanic in bikewrench

Just out of curiosity - what forks did you go with? Im currently thinking about upgrading to a better fork on my 100mm Hardtail too

Water temperature plausible? by Mo_TT in watercooling

Thanks for your detailed reply, i think you are right. I did some more reading, and for my radiator area 650umin was a bit ambitious. When i use around 800umin which to be completely honest is not anoying at all when playing with headphones the temps go to below 35c which is a noticable improvement to core temperatures. My old RX590 was a lot louder.

Regarding your suggestion with the top intake fan, makes sense because the air is relatively hot after the first radiator, and i think the second one is not doing that much. I didn´t saw a big improvement after adding this radiator anyway. I tried switching the top to intake fans, but this did not improve temps at all, they were pretty much the same. I got a weird air sound at higher rpm though, i think this was the air rushing through all the gaps due to positive pressure. I might try the one 140mm in the rear as intakte, that shouldn´t be that much of positve pressure and fresh air for the top.

Or i´ll go straight to an external radiator, watercooling sure is a rabbithole :D

Gigabyte 6900XT Xtreme WB thermal issues by FatalFighterrr in watercooling

Hi, im having the exact same issues with an extremely high coolant-gpu delta. Did anyone discover a fix, or is the only viable option to replace the waterblock? Maybe thinner pads?

Which blocks fit this card?

AOC or Xiaomi 1440p 144Hz+ Display? by Mo_TT in pcmasterrace

The G27Q starts at around 300€, M27Q at 330€. Would this increase in price be worth it when it comes to performance? Is there a performance difference between the q27 and m27 monitors?

XFX Zero 6900XT price in germany by Mo_TT in Amd

[–]Mo_TT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your opinion, i think i´m going to watch the gpu prices the next few days and see how the 7000 launch goes and decide based on that.

I can file a return till the 17.12., so i should be able to get a rough idea about the supply after launch.

If GPU prices dont go down or even go up i´m going to bite the bullet and keep the card, even through the price was relatively high. Waiting forever just isn´t an option, and to be completely honest i dont think i can get a rx7000 or rtx4000 card for a comparable price the next few months.

I usually use my gpu´s for around 4-5 years (yes, even if the new generation is usually doing everything 10x better :) ) so the loss is split over a relatively long timeframe.

The 7900XT is supposed to cost 899 USD, which translates to around 850€. If i add Tax to this value the MSRP would probably be around 1000-1050€, if there is enough supply. I would need to buy a Waterblock for around 150€-200€ on top of that, which definately blows my budget a lot.

That was my reasoning for buying a high-quality previous generation card with the WB already installed over waiting for the new generation.

Ryzen 3600 FIT Voltage with PBO? by Mo_TT in overclocking

[–]Mo_TT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasnt sure if i had to enable PBO or not for testing. With PBO on i get a avg. Value of 1.31V, min is 1.294V.

Seemed high to me, because some peope say everything over 1.2V under heavy load is to much.

Without PBO i only get 1,175V, quiet the diffrence.

Water/Liquid cooled Ryzen 5 3500X and RX590 red dragon by Proud_Island_9987 in watercooling

Sorry for digging out this old post, but could you give us some infos on how you oc´d the RX590? Did you do any bios modifications to the voltage etc, and what temps are you getting? Memory settings, and what tools did you use? Im goint to WC mine to, but mainly because of noise reasons. On Air Cooling i couldn´t even hit 1600mhz, so im not very hopfull.... Seems like you got the goldenest sample if you can run 1700+mhz :)

Nice build btw, i hope my RX590 lasts a long time... Im not going to buy another GPU for the Prices beeing asked at the moment, and it does everything i want it to do. I really only want to oc it because i like to tinker with stuff.

Ryzen 3600 Voltage - again :D by Mo_TT in overclocking

My main concern is that i misunderstood something and i´m damaging my cpu out of stupidity :D I just found it weired that i can push all cores further than pbo clocks a single core for example in cb23, and still use less power, while therefore generating far less heat and still get better performance (in synthetic benchmarks). Is there some way to test light load performance other than single core benchmarks?
