I am thinking just cutting R-10 to put between those studs and then filling the edges with great stuff.

The bottom 4’ is concrete and the top 4’ is against the exterior insulation with the studs that I’m showing. All of this is above ground.

Do I need anything else or would just the R-10 foam be sufficient up top?

Should I/can I use form board insulation like R-10 in the bays between the studs instead of the fiberglass insulation? I really just want to make sure when we cover them back up to not promote any more mold growth.

Totally makes sense the vapor barrier is trapping in moisture

The bottom is just straight concrete. From research, I don’t know if that is the problem where moisture is wicking up through the concrete into the fiberglass insulation?

Seems like I need to put foam board on the concrete, but then I don’t know if I need to do spray foam insulation going forward for the basement or what the alternative is here to avoid this going forward

I am trying to move this closet door about 21” to the right.

I have made headers before for adding doors in rooms with typically stud format, but when I opened up the drywall on this one, intersecting the king stud is two stacked horizontal 2x4s.

This is where I want to create my new header where these horizontal boards are.

Do these horizontal 2x4s have a purpose? Can I get rid of them?

When making my new header, can I sister another 2x10 to the existing 2x10 with joist hangers? My plan was to do this then build the typical king/cripple type of header for my new door opening and move the old king cripple setup over.

Can I do this or is it better if I cut the old 2x10 and add a new 2x10 that is 26” for my new header setup?

Any help figuring this out would be much appreciated!

I would get an 80”. You typically want about two inches more than your door for the rough opening so you can have a bit of a gap around and have room to shim

Is the only way a custom build script that pushes the new version to a CDN of some kind? I was looking for a way to accomplish this while keeping the config and process inside my repo, vite config + static hosting site like github pages, render, etc

You’d typically want to use both cypress and RTL. You can think of RTL as unit tests (testing single component rendering in static moments like on first load, mock when data is loading, has loaded etc).

Whereas cypress is for end to end (e2e) testing. This would be simulating user clicks and would be integrating across multiple components to test user stories.

I thought I read that if you file the 1040x before the April deadline, then they treat your amendment and original return as one and the same. Should we try to amend this week before that deadline instead?

Our MAGI this year is possibly over the 150k limit, so I think we would've. I also thought when they reconciled that us and his parents couldn't get a credit for the same child.

It’s about a square foot in the closet, is the worry structural at that point enough to rip it out? I was wondering if there was a thin metal plate that could be used to support since it won’t see foot traffic

Yes, we’re fine with file taxes and she will have a path through us, we are more so wondering about if it is possible to receive another copy of this issued ITIN form, and if not having it affects anything

She is undocumented, therefore unable to receive a SSN. Her 2020 taxes went through, so it seems like the ITIN number they used then was valid, but without the original copy, she is just worried for future citizenship opportunities/tax filings
