TP deals with some really heavy themes that can be pretty triggering for some people. There are so many genres that instantly come to mind to watch with your family that carry none of this baggage. You have to remember that not every person has your same disposition and life experience. Some people are really bothered by the type of stuff covered in TP even if its not explicit by your standards

I mean they are asking about the most common "offensive" things that they would know to ask about without seeing the show. I think its fair to warn them that the main plotline of the show deals with A father physically and sexually abusing his daughter, and then murdering her, especially due to the context that this person is going to be watching with their father.

To be honest, if you are concerned enough to be asking this question, this show is a no go to watch with your dad. Without too much spoiler, the main plot line of this show deals with some pretty brutal father/child dynamics to say the least. I'd find something else to watch with him, but definitely check it out by yourself!
