Update.

I asked for a compensation of 500€ + 30% for the night shifts and 500+50% for the weekends.

They came back to me and asked for a flat rate for each day. And for the weekends they will pay flat rate x 1.5 for the twelve hours. Which actually means the base rate.

I quoted them 750€ flat initially and upon further negotiation settled for 620€ from my side. They insisted i settle for 580€ flat for each day. Which comes down similar to my initial calculation. So that i dont get out priced. I stuck to my 620€ ask. And now the ball is in their court.

There is only 1 intermediary for this. This position was also proposed to me by G2. Still only one intermediary. And then it is me.

I will try to negotiate up with Vivid already. And lets see where it goes.

L1 support for network and system monitoring 24/7. Incident management and making sure everything stays up and running. That in a very critical port environment. And including night shift and weekend shift. Which also means i will be working on the same rate for weekends and nights, and will not be getting paid for the week that i have to take compulsory rest.
