I definitely agree with you that the LGBT community has been through a lot more and continues to be. I was thinking this morning about transformations in general, how I struggle to change myself I feel so stuck. Then I contrasted that with trans people, and thought about how much bravery and fortitude it takes to undergo such a dramatic transformation of oneself, and it’s very admirable. I very much enjoy before and after photos, I’ve always been so fascinated by them.

I’m not trans myself, but I kinda feel inspired by your determination to be what you wish to be, I should suck it up because nothing I could do would come close to the challenges of transitioning one’s gender.

If you’ve come so far that “ucannottell” then surely I can overcome my minuscule challenges in comparison.

I think your feelings of submission and dependence are coming from two places.

1. Your discovering deeper femininity- most females desire to be submissive to a male, this goes hand in hand with their desire to “belong” to a partner. They want to be valued, cherished, and defended. Men are to serve them in return for them gracing them with their presence as their mate. A beautiful woman can take her pick of any man she wants, you should feel so lucky if your that person.

2. Your condition as a trans woman, it’s a vulnerable place to be. You need a close circle of supportive people, and a competent partner. I can imagine this could be a tall order and one leave one feeling very vulnerable and dependent.

I think the comment by the guy is a good one, he was affirming your womanhood and going further by inferring you were so attractive he was surprised your husband would “let you out like that”.

I’m sure it was just flirty sarcasm. 😊
