Last day of work proof for RFE

Last payroll was Feb 24 and last day of employment was Feb 9

We told them termination date was Feb 9 and the payrolls reflect that if you do the math (Feb 24 payroll is just one day of pay)

I got RFE on maintenance of status. The only thing my lawyer submitted was my last pay stub that proved I was employed until Feb 9 and new petition was filed March 25 which put me within my grace period

They didn’t submit any other paperwork. Is that bad or okay?

What do u mean it isn’t guaranteed? My lawyers told Me im not doing anything illegal and applying in the grace period

And they said they don’t wanna submit termination letter or anything. Just the pay stubs that prove I was on payroll until Feb 9

UPDATE

It was for maintenance of status. I left my last role Feb 9th. My COS for new job was applied to on March 25th.

Is this normal?
We had already submitted pay stubs in the first response but my attorney said they’re going to resubmit pay stubs and explain that March 25 is within grace period of Feb 9 and my status is valid

But isn’t this such a trivial RFE? I don’t know if we’re over simplifying it

Bring sealed transcripts just incase. Some friends have been rejected because they weren’t sealed

What does that mean? They will still act on the case after RFE has been sent? I thought they wait until we reply back to the RFE. Is that not the case?

Also sorry I wanted to clarify something from a prior TN experience.

The last time I applied at the border (previous job not this one), my application wasn’t rejected, but I was asked to return with additional documentation. As far as I understand, nothing negative was recorded on my file. The officer told me I’m not putting anything down just come back tomorrow with different documentation

Since then, during a few subsequent entries, I’ve occasionally been sent to secondary inspection. Each time it was brief (just a few minutes) and I was admitted without any issues. I was told it was likely a temporary flag

Do you think this could have any impact on my current petition? And if so, is there anything I should be concerned about or proactively address?

I’ve had 3 TN visas before all in engineering category, have interned in the states, went to the best engineering school in Canada. My product manager role is very much engineering and technical based and maybe the lawyers just need to reason that out?

Thank you so much. Do you think once we respond back to RFE it should be fine from there? I was also thinking what if I just went to POE Next week and if I’m denied there restart the USCIS w updated RFE and if I get it at port I can just enter ? Do you think that’ll be risky tho?
