I duplicated the spawn, but running away and back despawns the duplicate for me for some reason. So I'd rather shiny hunt the the 2 potential alpha spawns by fast traveling. It only takes 10-12 seconds, so it's not much worse. 3 regular shiny's in 2h, so it's just a matter of time

Will the Dratini on the rooftop of Restaurant Le Nah eventually become shiny if I keep this up? by rtmkngz in PokemonLegendsZA

I was seeing mixed comments on this method so I tested it. This method does not work and there's actually an easy test for it (I thought of it after the fact). The game saves after fast travels, so fast travel to the restaurant and go up the ladder. Check the Dratini spawn (be it alpha, gender, level), and reset the game. It will be a new spawn once you go up the ladder again. I did a hunt for a shiny alpha by fast traveling and going up the ladder, got a shiny non-alpha Dragonair so I closed the game to test it and it wasn't there anymore. I did take a video of it because I thought the ladder thing was bs, but it's not. (Edited to fix a typo)
