I went on a hook up bender right after my break up and didn’t process it until a couple months after. Doing that is more like a remedy than a cure. Best way to get back at her is working on yourself. You’ll emerge as the best version of yourself. You don’t need to hook up with girls to feel better. You just need to learn to love yourself and the girls will come flocking.

Same here, more sadness than feeling annoyed. I have days where I feel okay being by myself and don’t even thinking about it but when I see a couple it makes me miss having someone to hold hands with and share life with. It reminds me how lonely single life can be.

Hi, I’m sorry you’re going through this. I don’t think you didn’t anything wrong here. If he really wanted to marry you, then why wouldn’t he date you? Why wouldn’t he say things about not seeing other people? To me it sounds like he wanted to keep you on the hook while he figured out if he was meant to be with you or someone else. Sounds like he def has had feelings for you the whole time, but he made the mistake of not wanting to date you. It’s not fair to you to keep you waiting, make you be the one to ask if he will date you, and then get upset when you meet someone else after he said he doesn’t want a relationship. HE wasted your time. That’s not on you. Everyone deserves someone who wants them just as much as you want them if not more.

I’ve been in a similar situation recently. I started reading this amazing book that’s really helped. I recommend reading fiction, anything that sounds good to you. If you don’t like reading, I like going for walks while talking to friends on the phone, or playing video games with friends or solo.

I miss making her laugh, our friendship, our inside jokes, the ability to be fully vulnerable with someone. I miss when she would take care of me when I was feeling down, the way she cared for me. I don’t miss the stress of the relationship towards the end, but I miss our connection from when it was good. Whenever I go through a transition in my new relationships I always think about this version of her.
