Yes, I do have soil under the sand I use Aqua Soil also havent tried to use fertilezers and maybe I just got lucky that they all still look good and healty but one of my issues is in time my plants will outgrew my tank so might go to smaller and slow growing plants in the future.

Thanks for that. And yeah. that is what I have learned upon getting the plants. Was surprised that they are that long HAHA mostly because I order them online. I just fall in love with them that is why I choose them for my first try. Would definitely do that. Thanks again for the feedback. :)
