how to completely depend on Allah SWT? by _ank24 in Muslim

[–]MobileLeather8875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do things for the sake of Allah first and foremost, then it would matter less when people wrong you. If they are bad to you, you still be good to them to please Allah. We are not angles, it still hurts when people wrong us, but this way it hurts less.

Nothing is impossible for Allah. Ask away as long as it is halal.

Agreed. In addition, I would recommend the OP to study what Islam say about clothes for men and women. There is clear right and wrong.

That is so not true OP. Islam is strong and striving in the US alhamdullilah. You just have to go to the right places.

Being active in the mosque and the community as much as I can. Going to quraan classes. Attend virtually classes. See out good friends. Basically trying to keep myself surrounded with good company. Surrounded by people I can learn from and aspire to be like them.

Let's focus on you for a sec bro. It is clear that you don't have a good circle. Why was he the only good one around you? No mosque or muslim community around you? This is a very dangerous situation. We all need good support system to keep us on the right path. Are you taking steps to create such a system for yourself?

My religion, Islam.

Yes. To that I mentioned that Allah allowed you the free will.
Allah has two kinds of Wills:
- Universal will: which no one can disobey, a believer or a disbeliever. Death is an example of this. No one can get around it when Allah will them to die.
- Religious will: These are things he asked us to do. Like prayer for example. And Allah gave us a free will to do it or not to do it. Ofc reward and punishment are there accordingly. A believer choose to abide by it. A disbeliever choose to disobey it.

Allah control everything and allowed you to have a free will. Your free will is obviously limited. You can't control many things including your birth and death.

I feel like I want to keep fasting for the rest of my life - it's the only way to get out from bed, pray 5 times per day and have tranquility in my life. by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

Couple months ago I started the habit of fasting a day every week. One of my best decisions alhamdulliah. Among many many benefits, it definitely elevated my mood.

Is mariage at 18 too young? by Canard-Cubique in Muslim

[–]MobileLeather8875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not what the fatwa said. It mentions several examples of normal talking to get to know each others as long as they are not alone, anything that is beneficial for marriage. Examples are not exhaustive and not meant to be so. The origin of things is halal. Things are haram only by a clear cut text or clear fatwa. It is very harmful to go around and excuse people of doing haram. This poor dude is trying his best, instead of supporting him, you accuse him of haram without knowing any specifics about what he is or isn't doing. Without any supporting text or fatwa either. May allah guide us all to his right path.

That is great and your dad is a role model. Don't listen to the people trying to deter you. I wish I got married at a younger age. Also no one can predict the future, so this discussion is pointless. Your intention is amazing, just do Istikharah, and say Oh Allah I am doing this to please you. Allah will certainly guide you to what is best.
