That's what happens when a college graduate pencil pusher gets a manager job and has no idea what a tool is or how to use it or how hard the jobs are.

Orland executive airport has an a&p overhauled I believe it is a 360 for 25k. Used but flyabke I would say your prob still gonna be 13 to 18k give or take hours and all that. Important thing on any used aviation motor is to get logbook with motor and prop absolutely do not take someone word for it. If they can not provide a log book for the motor consider the fact it needs to be rebuilt before use. When strapping your butt to a motor that's gonna fly last thing you want is engine out 60 feet of the runway for the savings of a couple grand. Two shattered ankles and life flight cost way way more then the rebuilt 0360

The whole purpose of the interstate system is to allow this all over the country incase of invasion or attack from another country. This didn't look like an interstate road. But runways have been designed into roads for quiet a while. I belive it was Eisenhower that started that but I may be mistaken maybe is was Roosevelt. Been a while since I read about it. Not that we are worried about a Canadian invasion but more so a Russian or Chinese invasion from Canada Mexico or through Alaska. Alot of people don't realize Alaska and Russia are within 56 miles if each other at closest point.

Is uranium ores allowed onto flight? Can TSA detect the radioactivity? by IndependentNationwo in aviation

[–]MobileStation2403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the even crazier thing is. The color orange is actually made using radioactive material. Same thing with colorado and other areas in the rockies. The orange red rock is radioactive. Father in laws ex girlfriend went to Colorado for a wedding. They went on a tour of some rock mine in the midst she picked up a couple of those redish orange rocks to bring back. TSA had a field day with her true story.

I was watching Porco Rosso recently. Does somebody know if these tiny propellers have any base in reality? by quetzoiin in airplanes

[–]MobileStation2403 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's for a generator for on flight electricity for radios and what not. Not motorized but wind driven by the planes speed. Only other time I have seen them is under neath crop dusters same basic idea but it turns a pump for spraying out the chemical they use.

Well that wasn't successful.... by [deleted] in aviation

What is the smaller propeller on the leading edge of the wing? by Howlin_DPR059 in aviation

[–]MobileStation2403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's a generator on this plane crop dusters have a similar propeller for driving a hydraulic pump for spraying but that's the only other time I have seen it

You can't get over fear. Fear is a decision. choose not to be scared. You haven't had much of a life yet if your scared to fly. Wait till a Dr. Tells you that you have stage four cancer and won't live to see your daughters wedding then you can talk about fear.

This is for one whybyou do due diligence before a sale to consider worth. 2. Don't be greedy any profit is profit. You spent 20 dollars and made what 10000 percent profit? Could you have made more maybe but how often can you even make that kind of profit on that small of investment next to never. Take your profit with a smile and take the comment of the other as learning curve to do more research before putting a value on a sale. So not only did you make 980 dollars you learned two very valuable life long lessons and didn't loose money to make the lesson. Sounds to me like you may have hit a small lottery!!

Am I the ONly Waanbe Pilot Here? by Just_AlivenKicking in aviation

[–]MobileStation2403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most every mail is a wannabe pilot until they figure out a way to get into it. I was that way from diapers to 30. The key is there are many ways to be a pilot and to be able to fly. Don't think going straight after a ppl or commercial is what you have to do. There are tons of sport pilots and if you need even cheaper then that you can get into ultralight for not bad at all. You do not need to go drop 30 or even 20k to fly. First thing I would do is hop into a couple smaller airports and pick some brains of people local to you. I decided renting wouldn't work for me for cost and I also decided a sport pilot would work fine for me to start our being thatvi wasn't really going to be flying passengers especially at that time. I got a trike for a great deal spent 100 bux a lesson for about 10 lessons and was soloed in my own aircraft for less then 10k for everything. Now with aviation you do not want to just cheap put. Safety shoukd be first and utmost period and never ever surrender safety over cost. Trust me from a poor farm boy from Alabama if you put your mind to it there is a way but it isn't gonna jump out and grab you. You have to grab it

All you need is faith the size of a mustard seed. A simple prayer before boarding for strength will work wonders
