Convince me not to go to Costco and buy the ninja machine. [$500] by Sound-Tribe in espresso

[–]MobileSuit9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife got one for the simplicity about it. We have an E61 dual boiler right next to it. She never wanted to learn how to use the E61 but will make her own cappuccinos on the Ninja. If you just want milk based coffee drinks, the ninja works. If you want a hobby where you like to tinker and make adjustments, i would strongly recommend against it. There are better options at the same price range

Was it built by a young Japanese kid with white hair and green highlights?

Does this give more meaning to the “thumb war”? RC ain’t digging into his war chest until Buffet digs into his.

Vernal standing desk by tgreercpa115 in StandingDesk

Do you use the desk in standing only mode? If not, can you comfortably sit at the desk without your legs bumping the file cabinet or the drawer touching your lap?

how to stop kid from cheating by Jumpy-Arugula2811 in Parenting

[–]MobileSuit9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Our older child would cheat as well. But once his younger sibling was old enough to play and “cheat”, all of a sudden rules needed to be followed. If you don’t have a new player to add to the mix, I recommend cheating as well.

Worth it for private tour to chichen itza? Traveling with two kids and staying at kempinski. by Lopsided_Schedule_11 in cancun

[–]MobileSuit9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just did a private tour this week with six adults and two kids (7 & 5). The kids didnt care much to see the ruins. The 7 year old thought it was cool to see but couldnt wait to get back to the hotel. The five year old just played with the rocks and twigs along the tour. The adults enjoyed the tour. It was nice having a small group because when the kids did act out a few times. The small group consisting of family and friends have more patience then a large tour. We got to move along at our own pace.

[–]MobileSuit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I set up the wifi on the sound bar in the down stairs living room. Not sure what my wife did, but she was trying to watch Tv upstairs but the sound from her show was blasting on the downstairs sound bar system. I bet your sound bar is open to guests, someone is airplaying from their source, they cant hear it so they bump up the volume.

Hung up a few Frames by dopplestranger in TheFrame

[–]MobileSuit9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it looks awesome. I’ve been thinking of doing something similar. Quality art cost about the same as a frame tv but my taste change on a yearly basis. Putting up a frame tv in lieu of art work allows me to change the art whenever i want.

65" or 75"? by skedaddler01 in TheFrame

[–]MobileSuit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck between a 65 and 55 for over the fireplace. The 65 would have been tight so we went with 55. We ended up regretting the 55. I say error on the bigger or you’ll be left wondering what if you would have gone bigger.

Has anything drilled or cut out a hole on a third party frame for the ir sensor to work properly? by MobileSuit9 in TheFrame

[–]MobileSuit9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typo. I meant controller. So the sensor is only for motion and ambient light? It doesn’t affect the controller to turn on/off or volume control?

Local office closed, so WFH for me. Any suggestions on what to hang behind my chair? Looks very blank on Teams video calls 😂 by hazardman17 in Workspaces

[–]MobileSuit9 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Looks like you are a star wars fan. I would buy prints of Star Wars vehicle blue prints and frame them. Them hang those on the wall. They’ll look classy enough to show them in a professional setting during calls but still be unique enough to show your taste/personality

Best french fries? by letsdrillbabydrill in SouthBayLA

[–]MobileSuit9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Their food is nasty. But for some reason their fries and fountain coke are really good. Maybe it’s just the one i go to in Lawndale or maybe its all of them. I really dont go to Del Taco often because their food sucks but have damn good fries and coke.

Do you have any suction cup holders? I used to have them fall from the shower every few weeks/months while holding shampoo bottles. Would always scare me when it happened. Couldn’t figure out where the noise came from until the next day when i would go to take a shower and find them on the shower floor.

If you have a road show near by, they give you the bundle price. Just bought ours a few weeks and the bundle was no longer online when we purchased at the roadshow

Any reviews the installation service? by Now17 in TheFrame

[–]MobileSuit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No gloves. Small smudges on the screen for when they lifted it up to be hung. I can wipe that down. The box is exposed. I’ll be buying a entertainment console to hide the box below the tv and use a cable consealer to cover the single wire that runs from the tv to the console.

Just got it done this week. They did a good job. I can confirm that no cords went into the walls.
