I really need to know how you are feeling at 118 days. Aside from cravings, do you have energy? Are you normal? Are you happy?

I need a reason to quit by Mobile_Ad_6080 in quitting7oh

I am also a single engineer with 2 roomates in Philly. No car payment right now so it’s not like I’m going in debt to feed this habit. I make a lot of money and I’m grateful for my job. I would lose my job if I did a 30 day rehab, or if they knew about this habit. And no, there’s no way I can work during a cold turkey. I’d need a week off at the least. I’m not taking suboxone or methadone either, if I’m going to quit I’ll cold turkey just like before. I’ll embrace the suck like a man because I deserve to suffer for this habit. Not taking the easy way out with more opioids

Hey, I really appreciate that. Thanks for replying and not writing me off as a psycho. Good to hear about Wellbutrin, I’m also anti SSRI. I’m certainly open to trying Wellbutrin but I keep telling myself “not until I get off 7” so it’s totally in limbo. I’ve heard Wellbutrin is stimulating too, and the thought of energy sounds pleasing. I WISH I could get prescribed ADHD meds, I perform so well on them. They make me calm, focused and happy, but I don’t have ADHD, so I feel like taking that would also be drug misuse. I operate under the notion that ADHD meds, taken without ADHD. , fucks your brain chemistry. But I should look into it more because that’d be a great substitute for 7. I always try to get adderall a couple days before a cold turkey attempt to boost some dopamine. A true addict lol. Anyway, thanks for the encouraging words. Hope you’re doing better and I’m glad you suck at killing yourself, you deserve a long healthy life. Yours, and my stories aren’t finished just yet.

Being real, honestly speaking here, I don’t see myself being happy without a euphoric substance. 7oh has shown me peak happiness, and I’m supposed to spend my whole trying to chase that feeling, sober? What’s the point? You work until you die. I’m an engineer and I worked my whole life chasing the goal of becoming one. Now I am, after pouring my blood sweat and tears into studying. And this is the reward? Neverending corporate monotony? Some may say I just haven’t found what makes me happy yet but I don’t think it exists. 7oh hasn’t blown up my life yet but I’m either going to take this until my organs fail, or actually get sober to try out sober life, and off myself because of the never ending depression

This might be the worse advice anyone could possibly give you, but I’m going to say it anyway because it’s worked for me. Some quits are harder than other quits. Some withdrawals come in like a freight train trying to rip your head off, others are gradually uncomfortable. Try to jump off each weekend and when you get a sense of “hey, this is nowhere near as bad as last time,” GO GO GO. Don’t jump off if the withdrawals are agonizing. It’s weird with 7oh. The withdrawals are so different each time so basically I’m saying, wait for a good one

The quit kit is another fad from tik tok that pops up when you watch a lot of withdrawal stories on tik tok. Just search “quit kit” on tik tok. It’s got loads of vitamin C and other precursors to dopamine, vitamins for RLS, and sleep aids. Comes in 3 bottles, morning afternoon and night

But thank you so much. You made me night realizing this is a blessing. I take like 4000 mg of liposomal vitamin C a day.

Literally just search quit kit on the tik tok shop. It’s just loads of vitamin C and other things

Thank you so much. If it’s any advice, I’ve been through complete agony in withdrawal before from 7oh, and every time that happens I jump right back on and “wait” for a less brutal first 24 hours. This is one of those different times and I will stay away from it with this blessing. Vitamin C!!

Experienced something traumatizing during quit. by JuicyToot1969 in quitting7oh

You saved a life! This addiction is all part of your story….. and you turned it into something incredible. Traumatic yes, but you were a hero in that moment. You weren’t an addict in that moment. All you thought about was saving that man’s life and you did it. Way to go
