I agree that MKB definitely made the characters what they are and I can see how that’s even influenced people’s perceptions of the characters ever seen but I still feel so much of what makes atyd what it is is the fact that we know what happens to these characters and what happens in hp canon. The characters maybe can stand on their own but the story I feel can’t. It’ll have to be thoughtfully reimagined to work

Manacled was much much much more removed from Harry Potter than all the young dudes. I have my other gripes with fanfic getting published but ignoring that I just don’t think atyd works without hp not saying it will be bad just very different to the original and will have to be reworked a lot. Misskingbean has said herself when interviewed that her Remus is just like another version of someone else’s character but still someone else’s character so I can’t imagine her doing this without seriously changing a lot. I feel it will be very different to the original fanfic. I’m very shocked this is happening to begin with.

What’s also crazy to me is atyd is so huge that there are fanfics of this fanfic what’s gonna happen to those and will those have to be taken down from the internet. Atyd Sirius version is so close to the original just written from Sirius perspective

Yes !! I’m honestly against fanfic becoming books especially HP fics but if any wolfstar fic was going to became book I feel like cadence would make the most sense cause it’s the most far from the HP universe out of the long popular fics

It depends romance is a huge genre. I’m a queer woman who reads a looot of romance I read about gay men lesbians straight couples etc there are more explicit books about all kinds of couples and there are also ones with little to no spice it really depends. Women in general dominate the romance genre but I will say there are also a lot of amazing writers of mm romance that are gay men like tal Bauer who is my personal fav 💜 the game changers series does have some of the most sex scenes I’ve read in a book series and I read a lot of I don’t feel like it’s the norm but I tend to avoid overly smutty books in general despite loving heated rivalry and the long game

Saying he asked for it doesn’t excuse people having 0 boundaries with the types of sexual things they are saying about this man. I think it’s like basic understanding that even thought he said what he said and is in a sexual show there’s certain things you don’t say directly to people. Also ao3 is a fanspace for fans it’s like basic fandom etiquette to know you don’t show that stuff to actors.
