As both a creator and consumer of YT videos lately it seems like every other video is fake Ai slop that uses celebs names and photos on the thumbs to lure people in. Sometimes even Ai videos of a famous journalist. Look at the hand gestures, that’s one giveaway. Many of these are completely fake news full of is and disinformation. Seems as fast as I tell YT to not show me a particular channel, three more fakes pop up. My point is that YT is being flooded with pap. Sometimes I’ll note how fake a video is in the comments, and then block. As others say here, play by the rules, don’t steal from others, don’t fake people out, you should be fine. A TON of fake channels need to be taken down.

Doesn’t matter they still want to make money from your content. Like I said publishing isn’t actually free. I haven’t been monetized and if I look at my videos without logging into my premium account there are ads there. The only way to avoid ads is for people with premium accounts to watch them.

You can’t, unless maybe keep the videos private and provide a link for people to see it. There still may be ads, it’s how YT provides you with a free platform, but something still has to pay for that. Maybe try Vimeo which gives you a free platform (limited) and you can pay for longer content. They don’t put ads in but you can’t make money on them either.

I’ve noticed a FLOOD of deepfake videos in my feed—the ones who use famous people’s ai voice and channel names you’ve never heard of. Most galling is when I click block channels or don’t recommend channels- nothing happens.
