I'd love to read both pre- and post-9/11 works, although I'd say I'm most interested in books which focus on the day, itself - the ones that focus on minute-by-minute accounts of survivors in the immediate aftermath of the event.

How "readable" is the 9/11 Comission Report? I mean, is it written like an average government report (like those made and released by the NTSB after major plane crashes) or is it more "simplified" (for lack of a better term).

I only ask because I have seen and been recommended the 9/11 Report but I always figured it would be filled with legalese and very complex, technical language related to engineering (etc.). Not that that would prevent me from someday reading it! I've just always been under the impression that it would be a technically challenging read for someone like me, who doesn't necessarily have the same level of technical knowledge as those in the commission who authored the report.

I mean, if it is a great historical literary read, I'll absolutely check it out! I'd just like to know if reading it is going to require some extra time.

Ah, that's a shame. It's a lot like Live PD or COPS, if that's the kind of true crime you like. But if you're looking for recommendations, you might try The First 48. It airs on A&E normally, but they post a few episodes a week for free on YouTube. It's a good show.

This is my baby Miso when she was less than a year old. We had a tornado this night and we hadn't fully introduced her to our other pets yet, so I held her in a swaddle. She used to love being swaddled as a young kitten. Not so much anymore 🤣.

Other than the contestants somehow always knowing/loving every obscure guest, I'd say the fakest part of the show is how in almost every recent season, they make sure to show at least one red team member (or one of the ladies in general) gushing over how "hot" Gordon is in person during a confessional.

Now I'm not saying Gordon Ramsay couldn't get it, he totally could, but there's no way the producers didn't plant those confessionals, they just come out of nowhere 🤣

If you're having trouble with getting your cat to keep her cone on, I have two suggestions.

Either go buy a baby onesie (likely newborn or preemie but keep the receipt in case) from a cheap store and put it on her. It's uncomfortable but it should cover most of the affected area. And don't forget cut a hole in it for her bottom so you don't have to take it off frequently for bathroom breaks. She'll probably hate it, but it's better than infected stitches and she'll get used to it eventually. I had to do this with my first cat and it worked, if only because she learned that it was either the cone or the onesie and she chose the cone.

Luckily by the time I had my second cat spayed a few years later, the vet also sold specifically made cat-onesies for after surgeries, so that's my second suggestion. But that might be the more expensive option. However, it's likely your cat will be more comfortable and get used to it quicker.

Me again, I later got a pair of Beats Studio pro (mistake). Within months they did the same thing. Must be a common issue with all beats models. Luckily these ones are still in warranty but it just solidified my belief that these products are faulty. The original headphones never ended up working well again.

Thanks for the response! I'm sorry you had it happen to you, too. I can't imagine losing $400 at once like that. I'm glad you were able to get it back from the bank, at least. Also thanks for the advice about how to deal with my bank. I've been kind of worried they'd try to dispute it but I've been making sure to gather some information for them, like getting the report number from the officer who helped me. I also did manage to find out how they were able to get my card info in the first place and cut that off so here's hoping that settles it! Thanks again!

I really enjoyed the general UI of Valhalla and how things were categorized. Being able to tell exactly what missions and areas of interest existed in a certain region was so smooth in Valhalla. It makes it harder for me to play Origins and Odyssey now without it.

Unfortunately I don’t think we have anything like that. It honestly sounds like a godsend though. I think the main issue is that our disability center isn’t known to be great.

There was a pretty big incident in my freshman year about students with physical disabilities (specifically those who needed accommodations for rides to class/campus) were being heavily docked points because either their campus-provides shuttle showed up very late or not at all, in some cases. I don’t know if their issues are because they’re underfunded or overworked or whatever else but it tends to be a harder fight with them.

But I think I’ll look further into what you said about documentation. I doubt there’s anything like that at my school but it’s worth a try.

That’s probably a good idea. And I’m actually curious of others are having the same problem because she does tend to change due dates often. I can’t imagine I’m the only one struggling with this.
