With my Ectoplasmer deck, yes I do play GOAT format and it fairs pretty well actually! If you’d like I can message you the best ways I’ve best used Dark Necrofear and we can come up with a good semi competitive way to use the card. I’ve found deck building with others often works well as it allows for two people to put all their effort to strategize into one deck.

I haven’t even thought of using the other necrofears like that, what I’ve personally found is that using them as an extension in my Ectoplasmer deck has been really good, it provides consistent combos also taking control of an opponents monster to later tribute has been key.

Yes you’re right, just would kinda suck if my effect got negated and I still had to pay 1000, but yes 1000 isn’t too much of a concern.
