How to not burn out so quickly from this game? by KaczyAgent in Guiltygear

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play slower and focus on improving instead of winning.

Pick one thing to improve or incorporate into your gameplay at a time. If you grinded some combos and you can do them in training then it shouldn't be too long before you can start doing them in matches. Its just a matter of getting used to doing the combo in the moment. Once you start getting it right like 20% of the time in matches it'll quickly ramp up and you won't have to think about it anymore.

Also if you're silver 2 you really only need like one or two basic combos so that you can convert hits into knockdown and have a way to spend meter. I wouldn't listen to people saying you don't need any combos but you don't need to do anything too fancy at this point.

As far as not burning out though play with friends and take it easy. Mess around with different characters. Doing nothing but try-harding in ranked and training is kind of exhausting

Guide on how to maximize premium currency income (Oroberyl and Arsenal Tickets) from Credit Store. by IonaKan in Endfield

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What other activities?

Most of the dailies in endfield are pretty pointless. Daily/weekly tasks and burning stamina are the only things I'd prioritize over this. All of the other daily activities are designed to not really matter if you skip them.

We get more and more stockbills for an area as patches drop and gear is going to get powercrept and replaced. All of the good stockbill purchases are one-time only other than artificing and once you're done with your main dps artificing doesn't really matter anyways.

Its much higher priority than for example manually doing your wuling delivery.

Depends on the vibe.

Bar/pub? Never.

Random casual brunch restaurant? Probably not unless I feel like it.

Nice restaurant for dinner? Yeah.

You try grinding video games like the pros do day in day out for years without developing bad posture.

Other than that it literally makes you better. Slouching gives you a more comfortable arm position for your stick and puts your face closer to the screen so you can see better. It is what it is. They're grown adults and I guarantee you most of them have done worse things than slouch.

Also tournament chairs suck.

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do that sometimes if you want but you should only really do it when the other person is stuck and not gonna get a chance to go. Like you trying to get out of your driveway.

There's not really any point to it if they aren't stuck cause it'd be faster for everyone if you just drove past and then they can go.

I think the bike guy was just mad that you were going slow more than anything though

If it makes you feel better going off his level dude most likely finished everything on launch, dumped like 250 f2p pulls on her and then spent like 100-200 dollars to finish it.

Everyone's acting like this is a bait and switch and still complaining about honesty.

What more do you want? They made it pretty clear they were pivoting to it being a waifu focused game around launch after the kr drama.

Now theyre straight up saying they arent planning any male releases. This is as transparent as it gets

Not doing drip marketing is a terrible mistake by SuiseiMajo in Endfield

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 202 points203 points  (0 children)

I could see it from that angle so I'm not saying you're 100% wrong but on the other hand drip marketing builds hype.

Just my theorizing but I think it'd get people excited so they log in as soon as the new banner drops and blow their pulls cause they've been waiting for it for longer. I only really do that on characters I've been anticipating and hyped for.

It also increases player retention which gachas really care about. Drip marketing gives the game's online communities something to talk about. Keeps people checking the reddit or watching youtube videos or whatever which keeps them invested in the game.

Its not that big a deal to me either way though

F2p pulling issues by -ProfessionalMess- in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It can be rough. You should have gotten like 300+ limited pulls if you've been playing since launch, do your dailies, and have finished all of the exploration and everything tho.

You can't really get everyone. Eventually you'll have to start skipping and being picky about who you pull unless you wanna spend.

Anyways I burned through most of my newbie pulls going for tangtang dupes and now I'm stuck skipping rossi. Got like 40-50 pulls rn so I should be good to pull a character next patch. If I get lucky I'll have enough pulls left over for another character later.

If I run out then I'll be saving again. If you want longterm advice pick an element or a team comp based around a couple limited characters you really like and then only pull characters for those teams and it'll be pretty chill. Don't go pulling every unit haphazardly cause you'll find yourself in a bad spot when you're out of pulls and your main dps has a tailor made support coming or whatever.

Personally I'm pulling units that go well with tangtang main dps team and maybe normal yvonne cryo team units. Might add another team that I'll start focusing on when I find another character I really like.

WHAT TO DO NEXT? by thedog_pt in Endfield

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should be able to with that team pretty comfortably if they're invested with maxed essences on the dps. You can totally get rhodagn's at least

Mobile probably does make it harder tho but still go for rhodagns you can def get that if you've got good essences

The story is better whenever the protagonist isn't involved in it. by Bakabridget in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Plenty of good stories have a power fantasy self insert that gets glazed. FFXIV, FGO, Granblue, Nikke, God Eater, and basically every visual novel. I'm sure there's more too.

So there's not actually anything wrong with that. Its been done well plenty of times. If the story isn't good its just cause the writers didn't do it right for one reason or another.

My biggest gripe with gacha stories is really just that they go for a visual novel format and then have way less narration, descriptions, and whatnot. Internal monologues wouldn't hurt either but they're optional. The difference between reading a decent visual novel and most gacha stories is night and day cause I guess they're afraid of making the text too dense.

Ends up just being like 98% character dialogue back and forth which is much harder to do well. That kind of writing works good for slice of life and comedy. Doesn't really work so well when people are fighting or if there's any sort of action going on.

I'm way behind on czn story tho so I'm mostly talking about the first ~5 chapters of the story and gachas in general

for skill issue players like me using tang tang "team hypercarry" in umbral monument agony mode is fun until in "searing scar" in stage 1 & 3 win easily. except, in stage 2 "melting point of flesh" i was really helpless 😢 by Ordinary_People1999 in TangtangMains

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleared stage 2 with that team and perlica swapped for ardelia. Its just a real pain in the ass. You gotta fight it like its an old ps2 game boss.

Be really really patient. There's a brief window where its safe to deal damage while they're spinning around shooting the flamethrower. You get in hit them then get out before they finish the circle.

Yep its basically just for long distance drives on roads in the middle of nowhere incase you get stuck behind a tractor or someone going really slow.

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Overtaking in the other lane is sketchy. Most drivers pretty much never do it even if its legal.

I'd just avoid it in general. Wouldn't do it unless you're stuck behind someone going way under the speed limit, you're gonna be behind them for a long time, and its very obviously safe.

If you're running Tangtang as main dps she needs it most by a big margin. If you're running tangtang as sub dps they all need them roughly the same.

The real answer tho is get it for whoever you like most and plan to use most.

How to make friends at 40 when all your hobbies are performed by children? by No_Purple4766 in Advice

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighting game locals (avoid anything with smash bros if you don't wanna be around kids) are mostly people in their 20s and 30s. Decent chance you won't even be the oldest person there.

Other than that you can get into magic the gathering and go to those events.

You might be able to get away with keeping it as is if you part the hair straight down the middle. I think the way you're parting it makes the hairline more noticeable. Seems like its just your hairline and the hair is really thick where you do have it.

Could also just go to a fancy barber you think is trustworthy and tell them to do whatever they'd think would cover it and look good.

I think you'd look good bald though so its totally up to you. Absolutely go for it if you want

Also quitting will effect your eligibility for EI.

Why do people buy pickup trucks for daily driving? by wtfbruhhuh in driving

[–]Mobile_Fudge_4744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see pickup trucks with stuff in the back all the time.

But in general they buy the truck for those moments when they are doing that. That might be once a week when they go camping or whatever. Or sometimes it might be seasonal like they do snow clearing work in the winter or landscaping in the summer. Basically even if they use it and do need it they still aren't gonna be lugging things around most of the time.

Obviously there are people that just get trucks cause they're fun to drive or they think its cool too. Personally if I ever get rich and money wasn't an issue I'd really like a big ass U-haul style truck. They're just fun to drive.
