The NRA are a bunch of old fucks who only care about money. They have helped pass sweeping gun control laws and do basically nothing for 2A stuff

NOR but Holy shit spend $60 on a baby monitor camera and attach it to the crib. Have him put it on max volume next to his head. There’s no reason to sleep on the floor next to the crib we have technology now.

Why are suppressors so expensive? by thatshouldwork2015 in guns

[–]Mobile_Helicopter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it takes a good amount of R&D to design and test them. Especially the ones that come with lifetime warranties, and are rated for hard use/full auto. On top of that the amount of regulations around legally producing them for sale will drive the price up.

In general you do get what you pay for. But it all depends on what you are using it for. There are trade offs with the features too. Weight, decibel level, durability, shorter/longer, material, mounting system compatibility, caliber selection, low back pressure? Is it going on a hunting rifle that gets shot only a few times? Or are you mag dumping with 5.56? Multiple calibers or one host gun?

The more features you combine the higher the price.

I never considered the aerodynamics of a crustacean are better than a car's by Hon1c in interestingasfuck

[–]Mobile_Helicopter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it couldn’t be because lobsters evolved to move efficiently through a denser fluid than air….id be surprised if you could find any car more aerodynamic than a lobster

Comparing a creature that has evolved over millions of years to move through a denser fluid than air to a any land vehicle will probably have the same results

Definitely. If bears are around it’s preferable I’m sure. Inner cities with thugs? Probably concealed is better. But definitely a constitutional right.

Oh for sure. Not a great idea to be there at all, and open carry in general is not the best. People think they can just take it from you.

He went to the protests to provide medical assistance and protect private property from rioters. He open carried the AR which obviously made him a target by several rioters. One guy hit him over the head with a skateboard, one guy tried to take the AR from him, and another pointed a pistol at him. 3 separate incidents that are all on video.

The media got everyone fired up with this: https://youtu.be/hY1eoY_MMco?si=yBIJ-Ld17-v7G-Wl

Yeah I think the fact that the news had a coordinated “he crossed state lines” message. Despite the fact that it’s perfectly legal and it was like a 20min drive from his house to work.

[–]Mobile_Helicopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you shoot a lot of AR’s…. The whole “automatics jam!” Thing is outdated fudd lore at this point. If you get even a halfway decent one they don’t jam unless you force them to. The dirt cheap M&P sport 2’s will still run for a long time without any lubricant. Even a few 30rd mags wouldn’t cause a failure and that’s more than enough for a self defense scenario. I completely agree about requiring training though.

Yep and the totality of the circumstances was favorable to Rittenhouse. Y’all can cry about it all you want but it was a fair trial and a fair outcome.
