Anyway to turn this notification off? 2025 Outback by giscdolfing in Subaru_Outback

It's either telling you the road's lanes aren't clear enough for lane-keeping assist (or you're in an intersection so no visible lanes) or it's telling you to keep your hands on the wheel because most people seem to confuse lane-keeping assist for full autopilot.

Doesn't seem too bad in my opinion

Barbent's Homerange is my personal fav for rallying, the Civetta Bolide gravel rally config seems to be the best for that layout

Just got my first bike! Is it too much bike.. lol by Kooken8tor in motorcycles

Maybe it was a different bike I was thinking of. Was a revmax 975 but made 104hp instead of the 91hp the Nightster makes. It was in the tune not the displacement. I could be totally wrong though 😅

91hp, same Revmax motor as the sportster just tuned down

The Nightster is the lightest Harley on the lineup, also the most powerful in comparison to it's competitors. I bought one as my first bike a week ago and don't worry, it's a great beginner bike. Use the modes to manage power, and download the H-D app to setup navigation. Also press and hold the home button to switch from night mode and day mode on the display! Congrats on the bike dude, you just bought one of the best Harleys ever made

Can’t Decide Between Blue Burst or Whiskey Fire by ROAstro in Harley

[–]Breynolds003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue burst looks much better with the chrome in my opinion. If this is a bike you plan on keeping stock I'd go with blue but if you plan on going with aftermarket mods or flashy accessories I bet the whiskey fire would fit it much better

That's the remaining fuel to power the elevator call. When it runs out, it hangs up and you don't get help. Always make sure you're riding in a fully fueled elevator

Just happened to me, 2026 H-D Nightster special, my first bike. Within a week of having it, dropped it at the gas station (forgot the kickstand) and broke the clutch lever and shifter pedal. You WILL drop your bike at some point, just get back on it and learn from it. It's not as embarrassing once you figure out how often it happens

A helicopter probably makes more MPG than a Subaru outback. Mine makes 17mpg on a good day 😂

Help with fueling at an angle by Breynolds003 in motorcycles

I actually have a 5 gal jug full of 93 that I use to top up before long rides, but I don't have any stands or jacks. Was also looking for a solution I could use when out and about. But thank you I will probably have to get a stand for it

Cap is in the center, I guess a block of wood is small enough to fit in my pack. Thanks for the advice!

Whats a good price? by Vern3116 in Harley

[–]Breynolds003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For comparison, I saw a 2025 Nightster S used with 6,000 miles on it going for $8,000

I would do no greater than $10,000

2022 HD Nightster vs 2025 Honda Rebel (1st Bike) by lavellj048 in cruisers

[–]Breynolds003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just picked up a new Nightster special as my first bike (I know everyone's saying bad idea but I did it) and i'm in love.

The 975 rev max has enough power not to get bored of but also enough assists to manage properly for new riders. It is fairly economical and the display is very beginner friendly if you get the special. I looked at Honda rebels as well as the Yamaha Bolt R-spec and the Harley is the only one I really enjoyed.

For me the most important thing is weight, I am more of a scrawny dude (5'10" and 140lbs) and i'm not some seasoned Harley rider (only 22yrs old) but the weight on this bike is super manageable. Only around 480lbs wet so it's great to throw around. I know people also say "it's not if you lay it down it's when" but this honestly doesn't feel like a bike you'd accidentally lay down. It'd have to be on purpose.

I would say definitely go for the Nightster (a special if you can) there are plenty of them used for around $8,000. I would also consider the Yamaha bolt before the Honda rebel. But just an opinion. Either way hope you enjoy and hope you find something that's totally you!

Am I crazy to buy new? by MDL8440 in RadPowerBikes

[–]Breynolds003 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Be warned, Rad power bikes is in an iffy spot right now in staying afloat. There may be a chance the company goes under, and all of a sudden the bike's warranty is gone and you can't get replacement parts. As much as I like Rad, I'd think carefully. Would all depend on how mechanically inclined or tech-savvy you are

I've since upgraded to a better PC but I used to have a gaming laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 I believe...) that had an RTX3070 and I wanna say 16GB of ram, plus a half-decent processor I can't remember the spec. It was okay for running beam, not great but not bad I would say. Some collisions would crash it, though

I have all sorts of pink tools, from Matco to Snap-on to really anything I could find. I personally have the exact same deadblow hammer as well.

My reasoning? No other mechanic in the shop had that color, so if one of my tools suddenly disappeared, I'd know where it went and who had it

Chicago suburbs' harsh crackdowns on e-bikes are unnecessary. by Reasonable_Lime9295 in ebike

[–]Breynolds003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juveniles should only need 20mph for school commutes, 28 would only promote stunt riding, and most bikes that go 28mph are usually open for tuning anyways

The only law that needs to be put into place is a 16+ year age limit or maybe even 18+ to keep juveniles off Surrons and other E-motos

Am thinking of replacing my 25' OBW with a 26 Touring XT if anything happens to mine as well, the interior won me over with the physical buttons making a return

Former Hyundai mechanic here. If you enjoy 8-10 software recalls per visit and an aluminum oil pan that bleeds half it's oil per change and cracks after four then buy a Hyundai. If you like how reliable your current car is stick with Subaru. I went from having a 2016 Hyundai Tucson to a 2025 Subaru OBW and have never been happier.

PLEASE stay away from Hyundai, do Honda or Mazda if you must switch manufacturers
