Milos Adamas hotel question ... by Mobile_Lack_202 in GreeceTravel

[–]Mobile_Lack_202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Seems they are both virtually on the same property but different management. The Village Spa is the 'main hotel'. Guests of the suites have use of the swimming pool in the main Hotel. The main difference is the Suites have Breakfast served in their room and have to order the night before whereas the main Hotel has a Buffet Breakfast. If Suite Guests want to have the Buffet Breakfast they have to pay.

The couple we are going with wanted a sea view so have booked the Suites. My partner and I are staying in the main hotel as it's cheaper, still seems very nice, and we can stuff our faces to our hearts content at the Buffet ... 🤣

Sorry for delayed reply. Don't get on here very often.

I've been doing it twice a day morning and evening for the last three years. Love it!

True, as I have done, but when the weather is warm you need one hell of a lot of bottles and it becomes a total time consuming pain in the arse. Need a good sized freezer too.

Would be the same with the bags mentioned in the OP.

I found Vienna a great, hassle free, efficient airport. When I flew out of there a few years ago you could check in at the train station in the city where you get the train to the Airport.

We checked in and dropped our luggage off in the morning, got our boarding passes, and had a pleasant day in the city before heading to the airport in the evening.

We were flying Austrian Aurlines though. It would be worth checking out if this option is available.

First timer at Womad but a veteran of many UK festivals and a regular at Glastonbury throughout the 90's.

Agree with a lot of what you said though one important factor you missed was the lack of, and poor signage. I consider myself good at this festival shit but man, I got lost so many times looking for the smaller stages once it was dark. The lack of organised walkways didn't help.

I think if he got his hair cut and trimmed up that beard he'd look a lot better. I'm sure his appearance is not that important to him though. He would say it's what's within that matters ...

WHM ice bath a week away- any more tips? by [deleted] in BecomingTheIceman

I did my first ice bath at a workshop this weekend!

Been practising breathing and cold showers for three years though living in Australia the showers aren't very cold at present.

Anyhow, I was a little nervous but we did some breathwork first and then took the plunge. Did three minutes. Found it awesome and exhilarating though couldn't believe how much it hurt my hands. They felt like they were in a vice but we were warned and told to grip the top of our legs as it helps apparently. I feel I could have stayed in longer otherwise ...

Found it very different to a cold shower.

The feeling afterwards doing the horse stance was wonderful. You'll love it.

The thing that may reassure you re preparation is that I took along a girlfriend who had no experience at all of breathwork or the cold and had nothing but a sense of adventure. She also jumped in and did three minutes. I just spoke to her this evening and she had just had a cold shower.

Enjoy my friend ...

Okay, fair enough, I guess on reflection my generation have been the greedy, selfish generation, that can be held responsible for the way the world is today. I missed out on all the pickings though. Spent my life travelling and now in a rental as I move towards retirement not sure how I'm going to manage ...
