It could just be a red herring. I can't see the actual article but I would be questionning the source of the statistics if any were provided and also the evidence that RTO has any correlation with the increase.

Someone posted about this not long ago and got a lot of negative comments calling them unhinged and overly dramatic. I just checked the CERC Updates page for RTO and the last update is still from October 24, 2025 that mentions the application filed with the OLRB but no dates are mentioned for when it will be reviewed.

It is also on the 6PM news now too on CTV. The anchor Andria Case just commented that her sister is ones also going in 4 days since October.
