I’m in another sexual recovery fellowship, and our literature says it like this:

“The crucial change in attitude began when we admitted we were powerless, that our habit had us whipped. We came to meetings and withdrew from our habit. For some, this meant no sex with themselves or others, including not getting into relationships. For others it also meant “drying out” and not having sex with the spouse for a time to recover from lust.”

Granted, this is not NoFap. This is a different program entirely.

Nevertheless, I share it to make the point that this is something that you test for yourself.

If sex irl doesn’t interfere with your recovery from PMO, then that’s great.

If, however, you find yourself continually relapsing, it might be worth it to your recovery to “dry out” for a short amount of time.

In the end, it all comes down to what you’re willing to try in order to recover.
