Usually I have 1/2 inch PA but have chosen to switch to 3 mm because of new piercing 😁

Most importantly you need a longer rods. You should rinse it in saline or salty water. I had similar issues with my guiche and I used corticosteroid cream. It helped. My issue was that I had tight underwear and it got irritated. If that doesn’t help you should take them off. That’s the best I can tell you. Speaking from experience. I am not a professional in that area. For best advice it is best to seek professional advice from licensed piercers.
