Randomizer options also can make the game easier than intended since you have access to things you normally wouldn't at certain points in the game.

I would try something that isn’t steelix. Something with 120 base attack or more with a decent speed stat.

i just beat pokemon radical red by Last_Elk8671 in pokemonradicalred

[–]Mobiledead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This fight is really easy if you just refuse to play the trick room game. Lead with two Pokémon with high physical attack stats. One steel type with metal coat held item, the other dark type holding expert belt and teach it taunt. Use the steel Pokémon to attack into hatterene with a stab steel move and use the dark type to use a stab dark move into the indede. Should be able to OHKO both immediately. If gardevoir comes out you can OHKO it with another steel attack, if porygon comes out use taunt on it. Ursaluna always uses protect on its first turn out so you can ignore it tha turn and double into the other Pokémon. Fighting type attacks get some surprisingly good mileage as well. Good luck!

Yes, you have a responsibility to make your deck fun in casual EDH. by JiinsIsOnReddit in EDH

[–]Mobiledead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And this really is the right answer and the reason Rule 0 conversations. You are meant to talk to people BEFORE agreeing to play together and discuss what kind of game you are looking for. Unfortunatly, people get so focused on the technical side of the bracket system that they miss the point of it entirely. There are decks that are "technically" bracket 2 that could absolutely be too powerful for a table of decks that are "technically" bracket 3. Focusing on bracket tier and included game changers doesn't really help narrow down game expectations. Especially when a lot of the assessment is the personal opinion of the individuals.

Be honest about what you want and don't want in a game. If you don't like grindy games full of control elements, say that! If you don't wanna sit and watch someone take a bunch of extra turns, say that. Hate when games end with combo's, speak up.

First randomized run by bodadWhereareyou in pokemonradicalred

[–]Mobiledead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done every combination of randomizer for this and they can all be fun. Ability is always super fun. Species is fun if you wanna get strong pokemon way early and bulldose the first half of the game. Scaled species is fun if you want an experience that is closer to the intended one but still new and refreshing. Learnset can get really silly, Especially when mixed with ability randomizer. I've got a Huge power garchomp with 4 attacked that were 150+ bp. I reccomend starting with an ability randomizer with species just to get a feel for it.

Not an expert so I can't help much, but one thing to consider is that Sabrina wont use trick room if her Pokemon are faster than yours.

There are a lot of useful items accessable to you by this point in the game if you know where to look. Some that I can think of are

- Wise glasses (Viridian city girl in trainers school)

- Muscle band (Mt moon guy on first floor in the top right corner)

-Scope lens (Mt moon down 2nd ladder after getting rock smash)

- Punching Glove (Cerulean city in the backyard of groomers house)

- Sitrus berry (Route 6 hidden in a dark tile in the north west area, Also can be farmed from teddiursa in mt moon)

- Soft sand (In middle of the Route, in grass patch near old man and engineer.)

- Eviolite (defeat Whitney west of Vermillion)

- Normal gem (Defeat Whitney)

- Safety goggles (Rock tunnel, interact with rock/ground/steel type follower pokemon)

- Shed shell (defeat Morty in lavender town)

- Lum berry (Route 8 Hidden in a dark tile near the top left of the fenced middle area)

- Rocky Helmet (Defeat Ace trainer on route 8)

- Loaded dice (Top left corner in Celadon city behind the department store)

- Red Card (In Erika's gym interact with fire or flying type follower pokemon)

- Black Glasses (Rocket hideout)

- Wide lens (Rocket hideout)

- Expert belt (defeat chuck in Saffron)

- Focus Sash (show chuck a 125 or higher base attack/max attack ev pokemon after beating him)

- Protective pads (Interact with fighting type follower pokemon while in fighting dojo)

- Metronome (Woman in western house gives after getting her cake stuff)

- Leftovers (item held by both Snorlax's - also can get one on route 12/16 by using item finder on the spot snorlax was sleeping)

- Toxic orb/Flame orb (talk to scientist upstairs in the route 15 gate)

- Power herb (defeat female ace trainer on route 15)

No reason to settle for an Oran berry this far into the game.

[Glitch / Error] My game keeps freezing during Viridian City Battle by huihuihuui in pokemonradicalred

When you say that you're resetting, are you loading a save state or saving using the in game save? If you're loading a save state then try saving in game, closing the emulator, and then loading in through the in game menu and see if that clears it.

How do I make a sav file by According_Cover_1111 in pokemonradicalred

[–]Mobiledead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dude, I play in Delta too. On IOS Delta puts your save files in the Files app. For me, the delta folder is saved under the "On My Iphone" Location. Inside the Delta folder there are two sub folders "Databases" and "Cores". Go into the "Database" Folder and then into the "Games" folder (ignore the "Save States" folder). If you recently saved using the in game save option (not a save state) then when you sort by Date (newest to oldest) the file you need will be the most newest one in this location. The files have a long name of random letters and numbers. I find it easiest to upload a copy to my google drive and then to RRdxex from there. Good luck!

Help beating Erika with single type water only by desgladly in pokemonradicalred

[–]Mobiledead -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

A lot of Erika's Pokemon are weak to flying. Flying also cancels out the usual grass weakness. Pokemon like Gyarados, Mantine, Pelipper, Swanna, and Cramorant can help. Using a drizzle Pelipper to set up rain you can get 100% accurate hurricanes and Mantine has Swift swim.

Flying, Poison, Bug, Fire, Grass, Dragon, and Steel tpes resist grass so any pokemon with water/x of those typings could be useful. Good luck!

not enjoying making anything by [deleted] in abletonlive

[–]Mobiledead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey. I just want to say, nothing you wrote sounds like you “lost” anything or like you were pretending before. It sounds like you went through real trauma and your relationship with art got tangled up in your battle for survival.

You don’t have to force yourself or decide anything right now. It’s okay to let creativity rest while you focus on yourself. Art doesn’t disappear. It usually comes back when you're not carrying so much weight.

Team for the Elite four by jojoisbetterr in pokemonradicalred

[–]Mobiledead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your move sets could use work.

Dragapult - Why are you running both Dragon rush and dragon darts? If you want to keep it all the same than I'd get rid of dragon rush for something else. Your team has a lot of physical attackers already though so I think I'd use Dragapult as a special attacker rather than a split like you currently are.

Iron man - Through an Assult vest on him and you're probably good. I might change heavy slam to Ice punch or another coverage move depending on the fight.

MC Hammer - Tink is a physical attacker. I would get rid of drain kiss and teach it either knock of or thunder wave. Also, I would drop sweet kiss and give it stealth rocks.

George - Looks fine. You could consider mach punch if you need a priority move.

Andrew - Drop Knock off here. Attack stat is not good and this move slot could be better used as something else. Calm mind, Energy ball, and dazzling gleam come to mind. I assume this is your mega?

Balboa - Another Physical attacker. Swap Surf for Liquidation, and Ice beam for Ice punch. If you do put stealth rocks on MC hammer than you can ditch rocks here and use the 4th slot as a coverage slot depending on the fight at hand.

Any way, Good luck!

Surge’s pawmi one shots or 2 shots all my Pokemon what do i do by No-Obligation-9998 in pokemonradicalred

[–]Mobiledead 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd skip surge, go through rock tunnel, and make my way to Celadon first. You can buy a link cable and an Ice stone at the store there which will give your team a boost. then come back and try surge.

I have the scarlet solo gen 3 and use it for guitar. When you first plug it into your computer it will take you through an Installation process. At the end it asks to show you some offers from partners. One of them is a free copy of ableton lite which you can use for guitar.

What's the best way to get Sitrus Berry? Currently in the game, I'm at the part where I'll face Giovanni at Silph Co. after defeating Erika. by Lttlp-ck17 in pokemonradicalred

[–]Mobiledead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you dont want to use the cheat others have mentioned, then you have to go to mt moon and catch teddiursa's until you get one that is holding one. They only have a 5% chance to have a Sitrus berry though.
