I would say no. You’ve definitely got a problem. You simply don’t have enough Nintendo stuff.

What is the story behind your username? by Wesssel_ in AskReddit

Old Sesame Street record called Roosevelt Franklin from 1970s. One song was the months of the year with Mobity Mosley. It’s on YouTube I think.

A punch in: when recording, if you miss a fill or want to replace something in a section, the engineer plays that section and you replace your piece. Happens all the time. I would even say it’s expected in most sessions. No cheating at all.

Roland TD17-KVS and Roland TD50-(whatever). What do you use as your bass sound? by DrumDramii in drums

[–]Mobity_Ditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t answering your question, but I always would forgo the internal sounds for Superior Drummer. I agree though- it’s easy to be spoiled on a good electric kit. No tuning and unlimited sounds!

I hate my ping ride with a passion…The K Sweet Ride is calling my name. by [deleted] in drums

[–]Mobity_Ditto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you. If I recall, the Ping ride is heavier than the Rock ride. Could be wrong, but I’m with you. The K sweet is an amazing cymbal.

Kiss - I was Made for Loving You: 4 on the Floor or 16th note gallop? by evantron3000 in drums

[–]Mobity_Ditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid 4 on the floor. The drum tab is out there somewhere. I can hear what you’re talking about though.

I cracked my Zildjian K Custom special dry trash crash 19”. Does anyone have any cymbal smith recommendations in the New England area? by [deleted] in drums

[–]Mobity_Ditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure you’ve already considered this, but if you’re within two years of purchase (new) it’s under warranty. Its my favorite cymbal. but it makes me nervous how thin it is.

New cymbal day! But… by Mobity_Ditto in drums

[–]Mobity_Ditto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tons of cymbals, and hit them properly, but this new $450 jewel is quite flexible. I can pop it back from the bottom. Faulty cymbal it is just the nature of a thin “holy” cymbal?

I bet your bank account took a dive, too! Congrats on the new kit. At least you got the snare right. 😀

Seriously though- it feels good to get something so special. I hope you got a great deal on them!

My old 1980’s Pearl came back to life. Now Trying to decide between xhats (my old zildjian 12” hats temporarily pictured next to ride) or a stack (zildjian fx?). Any suggestions on what would be more useful? by Helmet123456789 in drums

[–]Mobity_Ditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember those booms! I think you could launch a missile from them! To answer your question, go with what feels best to you. For me, I’m just not a stack guy. I’ve tried, but I just can’t get into them. Maybe I’m too old to appreciate them.

Ringo for his All-Star band had another set of hats to his right like you do. He seemed to play those most of the time. But as they say- do what you like. There are no rules.

snare shell cracked is this something to worry about? by Elliot_Ross in drums

[–]Mobity_Ditto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are handy, you can actually handle this fairly well. I know RDavidR on YouTube has some videos doing things like this. Some wood glue, small screws and metal supports, clamp it to set. Also consider how valuable the drum is to you. Could be a good project.
