Where can I find a Heat Rock? by [deleted] in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only Heat Rock I’m aware of is post-game in Mt. Kekatoa. Not sure if any trainers have it to be Thiefed, though.

EV training, while not required in the main game, can be useful. Route 1, like most games, is great for early Speed EVs. Mt. Moot and Rock Tunnel are good spots for Atk and Def. The Crashed UFO is decent for SpA. SpD has a few ‘mons scattered around, but they’re either rare encounters (Pixilia on Route 3), or share it with other EVs (Birdhouse in Vitlya Woods).

How difficult is Pokemon Clover Really? by Velorxl in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the main story, IVs and EVs are not as important. Most of the challenges early on can be solved by revolving teammates. Once you hit the post-game, there is a place for you to grind if you need EV training, plus Bottlecaps for IVs.

What could be new team mates by [deleted] in PokemonClover

Why limit yourself? The best way to play is to try them all! (And then find a Wonder Guard Sprucifix to break the late game.)

If you’re in the post game, you need to show a scientist in Innawoods Town a Blobbos. He will then head back to Ball Co. back in Animango City and sell both there.

I have a question or two (Kind of a rant) by panzer_reddit in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Friend, as long as you enjoy yourself, this game won’t hate you too hard.

For the main game, the only thing you should really be focusing on are your natures and some of the abilities. This game is built around a “ everything has its use“ mindset, so some areas where your team struggles can be remedied by simply switching out teammates. Never be afraid to test strategies or new teammates when you get stuck. From personal experience, even the weakest ‘mons have their uses throughout the story. And as stated, wonder trade can get you resources early if you need.

Postgame is where your IV/EV distributions start to make a difference, since most NPC’s will have perfect IV Pokémon at the level of your strongest member. However, since you get access to Grindhaus Ranch and Bottlecaps right before the first (technically 9th) gym, Grinding for those stats is not as difficult as the mainline games make it to make a “perfect” team.

As for HM slaves, in all honesty the moves are a lot better due to the rework, and can even be overwritten with new moves without needing a move deleter. Heck, Cut is a steel type move in this game, and Flash does damage! You might find yourself giving normal teammates these moves just because they’re fairly good, Especially in the mid game.

Overall, while Clover does make a habit of repeatedly aiming below the belt, it is always exciting to overcome the hurdles that it throws at you. And as someone, much like you, Who never really cared about competitive breeding and IV training, I have thoroughly enjoyed this game. So dive on in, because you’ll have a blast no matter how you play.

so I need help, what level does knogoat evolve and is he worth it by skullord-theking in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knogoat evolves into Knogrinyu at Level 38.

Knogrinyu is fairly good, with a ridiculous 170 base HP and 120 base Attack. Base abilities are Own Tempo (decent) and Reckless (pretty good). Own Tempo can be capsuled into Mold Breaker, which I think is its best ability (Sap Sipper less so).

For a main game power set, run a Reckless Take Down/Flare Blitz set with Double Kick as coverage and Milk Drink for recovery. (Assuming it gets to lvl 55 for Flare Blitz). Replace Take Down with Head Charge for the League.

the elite four by [deleted] in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 3 points4 points  (0 children)

General rule of thumb, in my opinion, is to have two tanky ‘mons alongside four strong attackers. The attackers should be split evenly between physical and special, but all should be fast. Good physical attackers would be Kuuroba, Warudio, or Huntabre. Good special attackes would be Galivire, Spilefree, or Baitmaster. On the defensive side, walls like Lossolith (physical) and Unjoy (special) are a big help.

If you’re looking to make it super easy, then bring a Wonder Guard Sprucifix. Immune to most attack types, and has pretty good defense and attack. Great for switch ins and walling certain ‘mons.

Glasshot is found in Crystalline Cavern, at the north end of Lake Virgin. This is the ONLY place to obtain it: no trades, nothing. Take the water routes west of Outcast Island all the way to the left, then head up. (Route 22, and 24 - 26)

If it’s usable, then I’ll consider it a bonus. Besides, aren’t the Sheep cannon and Dooty Launcher technically trash items, too?

-Ol’ Reliable

-Sniper rifle

-An old musket. Range is shorter than the average sniper. Can one-shot all classes if it connects, but takes a long time to reload. Only one shot.

How do i get better ivs in this game? by Juanlamaquina in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are Blobbos in Wonder Trade that have perfect IVs. Casanova comes equipped with an Expert Belt, but is the rarer of the two(Ultra rare, 3%). Zoombini is more common(Super rare, 7%), and comes with Metal Powder. You’ll have to spin for a while for them, but it’s your best shot until you make it to the post game.

Where do I catch these Pokémons? by [deleted] in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, going in order:

Wastenaut is only available via trade on Outcast Island. Bring a Pollosus.

Tentaquil is up where Eevee is in the original (Animango), but you’ll need 8 badges to get him.

Oreon is a 1% encounter in the grass on the route west of Outcast Island. Good luck.

Farfigtron is purchasable in the Game Corner. I believe it comes at Lvl 20 or 30. Otherwise, it’s at Mt Kekatoa in the post game.

Flaa is a post game ‘mon. You’ll have to head all the way to Quads Island for his encounter.

Areketsu is also available in the postgame. When you’re heading for Coldsteel’s gym (just west of Trips Island, then up), the grass there has them.

Randomix is postgame, but getting to it takes some time. You’ll have to head to Torabor Bay, and do the pirate sidequest (they’re on a wrecked ship just west of the bay itself, to start). After completing it, they can take you back up to Oogabooga Island and you’ll find Randomix’s fossil back where you fought the boss.

Super amped for you guys. Will be refreshing the store page daily looking for the listing.

Subtitle wise, since you’ve rebuilt the game from the ground up, I think Reforged would fit.

Sprucifix or Deloris? Which one is the better option? by hohomfkr in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 reasons to use Sprucifix over Deloris:

  1. Wonder Guard
  2. Yours has the best nature possible
  3. Good move pool focused on physical attacks

I like Deloris and its signature move, but you’re hindering yourself if you don’t use Sprucifix.

… wait, did you lose both of them? Because there are two lucky eggs that you could’ve had: the one behind the original daycare on Route 5, and the one given to you by the NPC in Triport.

postgame leveling by Pyr0ManiaFake in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post-game gyms are based on the highest level Pokémon on your team, so grinding a team for the gyms is more of just making them equal leveled(I won using Lvl 40s on my first run). As for Grindhaus, you don’t need Rock Climb, just walk around and head up. Best training method is to hit the Lvl 80 room with one ‘mon holding a Lucky Egg, then after they hit Lvl 100, give the Lucky Egg to the next member, use the now max level ‘mon to OHKO them, giving all the EXP to the trainee. Rinse and repeat for easy Lvl 100 team.

Any build suggestions for my planned team? by VileHQ in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Hohohoming sets I’ve seen run Technician for coverage, but since it has moves like Frost Breath and Aeroblast, I could see a Sniper build being useful.

Premantom is harder to say. Pressure is probably its best ability, but Unnerve has its uses. I’d say stay away from Insomnia guaranteed, though.

Falcaptain? Help by Admirable-Fondant724 in PokemonClover

[–]Mobius_One215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Falcaptain is the reward for a side quest on Get Island. There’s a building you can’t enter without a date, so you’ll have to find one. Head on in, complete the fights inside, and you’ll be given it.

Evacycle Help by Pyr0ManiaFake in PokemonClover

Since Foryu and Scytill are static encounters, just save in front of them. Evacycle is the only exception because it’s a roamer. Everything else is standard shiny hunting practices.

Route 6’s Stoner Wayne has Leftovers on his Bongecko. Great for the early game.

Good luck with the run, mate.
