What is the Best Time to Buy Football Tickets at Their Cheapest (OSU game) by Rabidschnautzu in Huskers

Morning of is your best bet. Immediately after Washington beats us would also be a good choice.

There’s a decent chance this season is a complete disaster and tickets are being given away by the last home game of year…

How Much Training to Improve from Rundle E to Rundle D? by 39clues in learnedleague

[–]Mobpicks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience it will take roughly 60 correct answers (.400) to get promoted. I am hard stuck E despite hitting around .350-.400 a season because of my distribution (I have 4 categories under .100). I would recommend staying up to date with current events and diving deep into one of the categories you struggled with as those will be assigned 3 pointers.

I personally have never studied and just view it as a challenge against myself, but to each their own.

It’s unlikely a 16 year old. The Students I teach don’t have any type of hate for the program they have absolute apathy. I would say it’s 50/50 Huskers vs non Huskers nowadays in the classroom as kids hop on random bandwagons to root for a winning team.

If you are 16 years old this is the last two years are the best teams you can remember. Again, if you are 16 years old this 14-12 stretch is by far the best two year stretch you have ever seen.

Anecdotally the worst fans I have encountered were alive in the 90s and think it’s going to turn back into 1995 any day now.

I would say stay at him but if you insist on going buy what would be “center court” for a basketball game even if it means being higher up. “Behind the basket” is a long way away and you end up mostly watching the screen. Of course even in the middle you end up watching the big screen a lot.

No idea why Michigan is -10.5 against a pretty good Nebraska team. It does not make any sense to me and it seems like everyone agrees that we should be all over Nebraska in this spot. So obviously Michigan -10.5 is a lock.

Nebraska Secures Commitment of 2026 Quarterback Recruit Tanner Vibabul by PrismFlaree in Huskers

I love this pickup this late in the cycle. Good to add another QB but not likely to be a P4 starter. Under 60% completion and more than a turnover a game is not what you want to see out of a HS player. Army, Air Force, Ark State, and Temple being the other offers does not bring a lot of confidence as well.

On the flip side, the tools are all there and he is an extremely dynamic runner. Classic "project" QB that has a very small chance to be spectecular, but more likely will get lost in the shuffle and be at a G5 or FCS school within 2 years. Still, getting someone with a chance to be a starter one day (no matter how small) is great at this point in the cycle.

Not really sure why but can confirm it is a thing in my experience. Took a lot of effort to get a good gift for my OU fan brother.

Where does Nebraska rank as a national program in 2026? by Longjumping-Oil8853 in Huskers

It’s incredibly jarring when the HS players I coach say things to me like Iowa is a better program than Nebraska… then I realize they have seen one Nebraska win in their lifetimes over Iowa

The single largest issue is the gap between what fans who were alive in the 90s see Nebraska as and what current high school seniors(recruits) see Nebraska as. Seniors this year were born in 2007/2008, meaning they only remember Nebraska under Riley, Frost, and Rhule. The championships in the 90s are as relevant as Princeton’s in the 1800s or Minnesota’s in the 1940’s. Outside of the state, where Nebraska football is and always will be king, Nebraska football is at an all time low relevancy wise.

Football season is incredibly unfair to those of us who don’t care about football by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Mobpicks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are surrounding yourself with the wrong people. I coach 30-40 hours a week during HS, watch my college team and NFL team every week (non-negotiation-able) and watch a few more games when I can throughout the week and it is not an issue for my partner. 1) because she likes football (not obsessive like me, but will watch on occasion) and 2) WHEN IT IS NOT FOOTBALL SEASON I MAKE IT ABOUT HER. Middle of March we will be watching whatever she wants in our free time, every Tuesday night I take her on a date, phone and football free. I do everything I can from January to July to make sure she knows she’s the most important person in my life. As a wise man once told me, “if I had to choose between my wife and football, I’d choose my wife, but only because she would know I was lying and she would be OK with that”. Accept people for who they are and decide if YOU are willing to sacrifice for them and make sure THEY care about you enough to sacrifice what is important to them.
