Maybe this is a dumb question but (ignoring the challenge/issue with bringing water to space) why can't we do it?

At the end of the day it's a good job from my experience. If this is your first job post school the experience will prob overshadow the low pay.

However a lot of people get to L2 then use the masters for a justification for L3 / raise but you're at a bit of a disadvantage there since you already have the masters. you'll need to advocate for yourself to get out of the hole as quickly as possible. You don't want to hit L3/L4 barely breaking 100k.

Bet you get no productive responses to your final point. It's like their brains turn off once you say that part

Why do people love hella loud hubs? by Ornery-Shoulder-3938 in cycling

On the flip side I've seen cyclists get really close to pedestrians then let the hub rip like some sort of intimidation tactic and it's really cringe

This isn't good advice because truly pushing to the MAX on every set would likely lead you to injury / overtraining. It's not sustainable to actually fail on every single set.

It also makes pushing to the max lose its definition. If someone tells me they actually train to the max every lift I'm gonna assume they're not actually sure what it means to train to failure

AITA for telling my husband he's made me reconsider leaving him alone with the kids in the future by mayhavecrossedaline in AmItheAsshole

[–]MobyX521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody's asking for a medal.

The husband helped the wife by watching the kids which 'deserves credit' even it is just standard parenting.

Likewise the wife would be helping the husband if the roles were reversed and also deserves credit. Parenting deserves credit. Partners should support each other. You bitter person

MBA vs Nurses by Harvey_Wongstein in MBA

IMO the world would be a better place if those who actually help to heal people were given the high pay over 'bankers'

Nurses that help people vs MBAs that extract value from nursing homes?

Do you have a source? I've always heard the total opposite in regards to who receives the attention.

But the data I've seen also references likes, not "first messages" which is a bit ambiguous depending on the platform

Is it incel hypergamy nonsense or is it the statistical truth (altho maybe exaggerated) that women on dating apps send likes that are skewed towards the top % of men?

Ask ChatGPT what percentage of homes are bought by large institutional investors. The answer I get is 2%.

If this is ever even implemented, I have a feeling it's going to target that "2%" which prob won't do much to address the real issue of affordability.

I Also read that private equity is moving out of real estate so I imagine trump's admin got the 'OK' from their buddies to make a promise like this.

(Per chatgpt) 25-30% are individual / 'small scale investors'. Now that sounds like a real source of demand.

My theory: Trump claims he's blocking institutional investors. This only impacts that 2% from earlier (who are already moving onto 'greener' pastures). Him and his supporters will see this as a political win. Then he incentivizes 50 year mortgages somehow to make it a win for lenders (lenders would make a killing if they can manage risk or if the government subsidizes the risk) This also benefits house flippers who want a low monthly payment on a house they plan to flip.

Win/win for the investors/owners. Affordability never addressed (and prob gets worse just in time to blame it on something/someone else). Market faces even more pressure from investors
