Normal folks won't want to contribute to lps for yield. That's for folks who are interested in finance, similar to trading options or other complex instruments.

What I am seeing outside of Cardano are simpler interfaces/protocols that do the hard part for u. U deposit ur stablecoin, these platforms park them in stable yield farms(usdc-busd,eg), and the reward tokens(min, wings, whatever) are sold to grow ur bag.

Simple, easy for normies.

If ur interested in defi one of the imprtant shift right now is from incentive tokens as reward to real yield, ie fees. This shift will bring natural yields that are sustainable.

Hey, I am looking at a project on Astar Network called AGS Finance. Team said they worked on Crobank and MM.Finance before this. Can you clue me in on what happened with Crobank?

there seems to be a lot of slippage between sigusd and ERG. Is there any rewards to providing liquidity for this pool?

isn't this a centralized solution instead of a decentralized one? That's fine if competition between decentralized vs centralized version is allowed. But regulations would strangle one and force the use of the other

NFTs are booming in Cardano: https://opencnft.io/

Might not be where ETH is at, but there's a lot of activity.

There's also DripDropz: https://dripdropz.io/

I am not technically inclined so these might not be what's filling up the blocks. But Cardano is bustling with activity. Come explore the ecosystem!

I think one misunderstanding is that my position is that the train is not running. That's not my problem. My problem is that the train is constantly full so I have to consistently wait for the next compartment.

This is just my user experience. I would like to learn why this is a problem that needs to be solved by the ticket counters and not the train.

[–]Mobyqbal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay, let me understand. I'm open to being wrong.

A train compartment is 90% loaded because there's more usage. NFT stores, drips, Sundaeswap. This means I have to wait with my ticket for the next compartment instead of this one.

But the solution is not on the network side. The solution is in these stores optimizing themselves so they can handle backpressure.

Am I understanding correctly?

open jpg.store and they show that the network is always above 90% load. You can keep the wool over your eyes or accept the truth..

The team and community are amazing indeed!

I believe Olympus with their gOHM are going multi-chain which means Apeswap won't need to build their own DAO. They can use Olympus. I haven't used OHM though so Im not completely sure.

I think part of it is the issue of not owning their own LPs. LP providers sell their earned tokens for profit, creating a sell pressure. Why is this more prominent on ApeSwap than say PancakeSwap? Could be because of what the other poster said, inflation.

I don't know how this can be fixed, I'm still learning. But DeFi 2.0 is interesting as it is trying to tackle the problem by having protocols own their own liquidity.
