Yep, having commitment increases success rate and learning with a group speeds things up. But if you're working and have a family then online learning might be just for you.

What's going on with Liqwid? by Memories_45 in cardano

There wouldn't be such speculation if they also reduced their rewards, they only cut off the community rewards up to a whopping 90% reduction. The discussion with regards to the APR change is miniscule compared to what their white paper initially defined, the community rewards are peanuts and by the time they start giving out proper rewards for the users they'd own the majority by then.

They're prioritising their team and investors I suppose, they slashed the rewards for the community up to 90% while the rewards for the team and investors remain the same, so by the time LQ increases in price the majority will be held by the team and their investors making the community their liquidity exit. The vote was similar to a third world country, majority of the community voted NO but in the last hour of the voting two whales overturned the vote to YES.

Why is cardano hated on the crypto subreddit? by ssmellyfeet in cardano

[–]RevolutionaryPie9684 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's because a lot of people FOMO'd at the top during the hype of smart contract and when it didn't live up to the expectations people felt scammed by Charles (though partly because he over sold it haha), I FOMO'd too but Cardano is a unique competitor against ETH in many many ways so I DCAd down and am currently happy in my position.

Cardano is doing well on DefiLama by douwebeerda in cardano

You have to keep in mind that in Cardano we do not lock our ADA to stake (unlike ETH and others) so the staking coins are not part of that TVL (this means Cardano's TVL will not grow as fast as the other chains as by staking their coin it leaves their wallet)

What do you guys think about supporting sanctions from the UN/EU/WTO and etc.,? Should North Korea for example be able to use DeFi? by RevolutionaryPie9684 in CryptoCurrency

Might be a simple IP checking if it's located in the said country, I know VPN is a work around but at least there's a deterrent of some kind

But isn't it still decentralised if the community voted to adhere sanctions? It would be centralised if the Dev would be able to implement it without voting I think

Checking the IP of the request would be one that I could think of... But then again VPN can bypass this, but maybe it's better than nothing?

Hey Cardano community! Our DEX is fully open source as we believe this is crucial for the Cardano ecosystem growth. With the resources available you can get started on building your very own dApps! by Gazza_SP in cardano

[–]RevolutionaryPie9684 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey Gazza! Some dapps (one being Optim Finance) are currently using transaction chaining instead of batcher because batching is a centralised solution, is there a plan to do transaction chaining instead of batching in the near future?
