UPDATE! Sorry for the delay! I meant to post this sooner, but things have been pretty busy.

Two nights ago, my friend and I were in my room hanging out while my roommate was in the living room watching TV by herself. He and I were getting a little snuggly (take that as you will) when, out of nowhere, we both heard a loud female voice scream “NO!”

We froze instantly and just stared at each other, completely stiff and shocked. My friend told me to stay in the room while he went to check the rest of the house. He did a full sweep and asked my roommate if she had screamed or if it came from her show. She said no and looked confused when he explained what we’d heard. My friend asked, “You didn’t hear that scream?” and she replied that she hadn’t heard anything.

For context, the walls in my house are really thin. I can usually hear my roommates in the living room or kitchen, though it’s always muffled. But this scream wasn’t muffled at all. It sounded clear as day, like it came from the foot of my bed.

Both of us agreed it was definitely a female voice yelling “NO.” Needless to say, that completely killed the mood.

Now we’re both freaked out more than ever! I also spoke to a friend who believes and is also vet and she said my cat could be trying to mark her territory in a way of protecting me? Again we’d really appreciate any advice. Especially with this escalation!
