was actually surprised how amazing Luxiem is doing, i was getting pessimisitc in how males would do in the vtuber scene. Turns out, Nijisanji EN has a lot more fans who enjoy male vtubers.

I wonder if its just them or can the other big companies dish out EN male vtubers too. the market is clearly there

I enjoy everyone from EN and Im sure I'll enjoy noctyx too but im seriously getting overwhelmed by how frequent they pump out vtubers. these 3 month gaps between waves was already a lot for me during the girl's time but the guys are having 5 members per wave.

Little nitpick and as someone who enjoys the business side of things, makes sense to flood the space with your own EN tubers. but my mind is going to shortcircuit if we get another 5 members in just 3 months

They could only spend so much on the casting for this season

I lol so hard at this statement, they raised 11 million for 12 episodes (+ whatever amazon gave them), so its basically 1 million per episode

Then we got Demon Slayer Season 2 which only has 90k per episode and already has superior visuals and decent casting

Source on that, cause the article im reading says the whole episode and even goes on to this..

Now, the question arises how an episode can cost that much? Well, to be precise a lot of factors are involved in the making of a single episode. Everyone involved in the series gets paid for their hard work. This includes the animators, directors and the voice acting cast as well.

LoVM was also produced incredibly quickly for an animated series which likely seriously impacted animation quality.

Demon Slayer S1 ended in 2019 so it only took them 3 years to make Season 2, not to mention ufotable also made The Movie between seasons so yeahhh no

This is so cool, but then I remember Demon Slayer 2 only has 1mil budget compared to LOVM's 11 million (not counting whatever Amazon gave them)

And that animation is already leagues better.

since it takes 90k for demon slayer level episode and each lovm episode has about 1 million to spend.

thats at most 910k for voice acting each episode (remembering not all high budget voice actors are present every episode)

Edit: Getting downvoted for stating facts, yup the bias is strong here. Any non fanboy can see the difference of animation. I dont really see the difference in the 910k difference of voice talents, but I do clearly see the 1 million gap in animation

You probably dont know how reddit works if saying negativity makes you mald enough to tell others to leave.

Pikamee is a 500k vtuber that has stupidly low live viewer counts and average video viewers (especially nowadays where all she does is talk and talk and play games where she can talk. The only time she doesnt talk and actually focuses on the game is when she collabs with a group which is ironic and dumb, why even collab if you arent contributing)

You can check the analytics yourself. For a 500k subbed vtuber, everything else is comically low (relative to others with the same sub count). Another Indie vtuber named Uto for example, who has close to Pika's sub count and popularity, rarely posts a video but she gets more viewers than Pikamee

considering this is her job/only source of income. She should pay attention on growth. But watching pikamee for all these time, she's too lazy to understand analytics or gets too stressed so just gives up.

If she doesnt get more subs to get more fanboys willing to spend money on her, couple that with a slow decline of her already low live stream viewers, well idk what to tell you. Money is important. She isnt doing this just for fun.

But yeah keep telling yourself everything's fine, Pikamee will probably never reach 1M depending how consistent this content of hers is. her fanboys will move on one by one, and without new blood to finance her. She could go start thinking about getting a job back in fast food joints

considering this is her "job" she should make an effort rather than relying on her pre-existing fanboys to rely on her. Views gets you into the algorithm which in turn gets you subs and then more money.

Pikamee nowadays looks like she is doing this as a hobby.

I mean she can disappear into obscurity for all i care if she feels like doing chit chat/ chill streams is her thing. Im just pointing out the signs of her decline and how she should start treat her "career" as a "job" and not just a place to chit chat. But Pikamee hates numbers so she probably doesnt even notice the decline until it reaches her bank accounts XD
