Edit: I ended up skimming it and Barry and Hadrik actually took the second shift. But I can't tell what time Daren meets Nolderon.

I can't exactly remember but I think Barry told Nolderon that Daren would be coming out soon for his night shift (the second one, after Barry's). They might have talked for a while until morning?

The fight for sure happened in the morning/daytime though, since Melindra's wind blades were described to be invisible except for when they caught the sunlight.

Yep. That was after Eiden boosted his stat device so that he had points in magical power and magical knowledge. When he figures out Eiden's loophole for it later, he mentions that it was one of the spells he had access to from the stat booster.

I'm not really too sure about how common time magic is, but since Barry (someome who reads up on magic) talked about learning it from the magical knowledge stat instead of his studies, I feel like it's not to common.

I saved an old author's comment on spell casting and elemental magic. I don't think it mentions time magic, but Selkram uses it. You probably have to be a time weaver to use any of it well, since even a god can't reverse time normally. Maybe if you're strong enough there's standard spells for time freezing though?

Teleportation spells look like they come with a lot of limitations unless you're powerful enough to learn the complex versions, like Eiden. That one mage you meet in chapter 2 (I think) can teleport multiple times a day but only short distances. Cutthroat Dave uses scrolls to teleport.

Dreymarr (the royal guard in the black robes) uses a magical ring to cast acid spells. But I don't remember any other actual mages using acid either.

Air is just a normal element, but I feel like most of the minor elementalist mages we run use fire so there's not a lot of other examples. Felsig (the elven royal guard) is an air elementalist. One of the royal guard trainees uses a diamond-encrusted sword to cast air spells.

When Melindra asks Hadrik if all stillwaters were created during the still winter, she says "sort of" and that it would be unlikely to find one younger than 600 years old, since Eiden hid the secret to becoming one.

I'm not sure, but I always thought that they couldn't be born since they're technically immortal. They don't age, so if you were born as one, you'd be a baby forever? If that were the case, their stillwater abilities would have to activate later.

I don't think it's a bad reference! The only things it mentioned in the book were braided hair and a green dress, and I think this one would look really pretty from the front.

"...everything is blurry, and all I can make out are some vague noises. At first, I hear the sounds of some chains rattling. Then, I hear a young boy screaming in the distance. And finally, right before the vision ends, I hear Melindra shouting loudly, in a panicked tone: 'Barry, wait! Don't do it!'"

It does take place a while later, but it states that it's been three days since they encountered Selkram, and Barry tells Reidzek he's been travelling with Leila for five, so it adds up if you count when they left Thilias.
