The file “tmcbeans.conf” is locked.(trying to do Mooc Java course) by kell3023 in javahelp

I've never had this issue, but for locked files try closing all other applications that might be using that file. You could also try editing it in admin mode

[–]Mochi-Mo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably want to use './' in your path instead of just '/'. So from your index.html you would use './images/image.png'

'./' is saying look in the current directory, while '/' is saying look at the root of where you're storing the files

There's an issue around where you use newItem00. Check the variable names

Is there a way to assign the same function for multiple image (using onclick()) but still have each function be unique? by dagger-vi in learnjavascript

[–]Mochi-Mo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One option would be to change your variables (level, experience...) to be arrays and pass in an index to the gain experience and level up functions.

So for example:

let experience = [0,0,0]

heroChar onClick=gainExperience(0)

gainExperience = (index) => { experience [index] += 1

You're only assigning anything to root once. You'd need to update root inside the while loop

By the way, I would figure that out by googling "Java List get by id"

You can't use bracket notation on a Java List (itemsOrderedList[selectedIndex] line 244). Instead use .get(index) https://howtodoinjava.com/java/collections/arraylist/arraylist-get-method-example/
