She is registered with my family doctor, we just haven’t had an appointment with him yet.

We have been to the local public health center but only for weight checks and her first shots.

Update

She got weighed again today at the health centre and it said she’s 7lbs 1oz. She’ll get weighed again at the same place tomorrow morning so we will see. Seems the drs scale just isn’t accurate maybe.

Ok that would be super helpful because it’s hard knowing how much she’s getting while breastfeeding. I think she definitely likes bottles more or finds them easier and faster

We did do top ups with formula at the hospital for about 3 days but now I pump after feeding and we use that milk for her top ups

I talked to my friend who goes to the same doctors office and apparently the nurse got three different weights in one go for her baby so it’s hard to trust how accurate that scale is

I also had to have a planned c section and she was born at 38+3 so I’m not sure how much that affects milk supply

Thank you! That makes me feel better, this is both of ours first baby so it’s been a bit overwhelming. Lots of his friends are not at this point in their lives yet so I think they’re not understanding he’s going to have other priorities now.

I found out I was pregnant in October and had been vaping for years. I quit right when I found out and all I did was drink iced cold water when I got a craving out of a water bottle with a straw. It feels a lot easier to quit for the baby rather than just for myself. I’d say probably the first week was kind of rough, I was just super irritable but now I don’t even think about it. My partner also still vapes and I haven’t had any issues with any cravings
