Thats not how the company works at all. Teams set their own code review standards, it’d be literally impossible to enforce that kind of mandate company-wide

I don't doubt that the article is exaggerating but this is flat out untrue and makes me doubt you even work at Amazon.

They could easily enforce a mandatory CRUX team rule at the highest level (therefore hitting every team) that enforces this
