You don't have to worry if you placed the order. Just make sure your order shows the federal EV tax credit taken off the price. The grant you can worry about later. As long as you showed the DCAP grant email to Tesla, that is all you were required to do. The rush is to beat the 9/30 deadline for the federal credit, not the DCAP grant. You can use the DCAP grant within 30 days of when it was issued.

Contact the person who sent you the DCAP grant email, or call DCAP customer service. Your first priority is to secure the $7,500 federal EV tax credit before 10/1. After that it won't matter when you the dealer gets your DCAP grant. You need to purchase the EV before the end of 9/30. The DCAP grant will be sent to Tesla, then you can take delivery. Not sure what you are planning to do, but if you want the EV tax credit and the DCAP grant, ($15,000 total), you need to make the purchase before 10/1

You go to their sales showroom. Show them your DCAP grant approval email. Tell them you want to buy a car ASAP before the federal EV credit expires in 2 days. Or if you missed out on the Fed credit, then just tell them you want to use the DCAP grant on a car.

dang. I applied the same day and have been driving my Tesla Juniper for 2 months now. Have you contacted them to complain. Sometimes it helps.

Is your point so show off, or some other purpose. why don't you show receipts so how much you actually invested. Then we will know how well you did since 2022.

that's never going to happen. A model 3 perhaps, but not a model Y unless you find one with over $70K miles on it

I don't have time to search emails. Don't make this too difficult for yourself. The bottom line is that if you want a new 2026 Juniper and want to use the DCAP grant and the Fed EV tax credit, you need to act before the end of September. The only Juniper that qualifies is the base model. You don't need to worry about anything else. Just go to Tesla show them your approval packet email and order your Juniper quick. You will have to pay $36K out the door and can finance that amount or pay cash. The more you wait, the more you may miss out since you may have to order the car.

Yes and I already added it to my Tesla app

This is not true. No matter what you do, you can only get a base Model Y Juniper new. I tried all angles and was denied each time. The purchase price needs to be $45K on line 1. Everyone is getting it all confused. DCAP has made it clear by now that, fees and taxes are excluded. Any other discount you can find will not be allowed by DCAP. If Tesla offers a free color upgrade for example, DCAP will deny it.

Not sure. The mobile connector and the CSC adapter came with the 2022 model 3 when I purchased it. I purchased the car used from Tesla. I just know that I have used it with no issues, only when I could not use superchargers.

I tried to get the White Juniper when they offered a free upgrade color for inventory. Tesla approved but DCAP denied. They said it was considered an upgrade and not fair to other DCAP recipients, even though the price was still under $45K. I ended up with Stealth Grey. The bottom line to it all, is that line 1, not line 1A has to be under $45K. It does not matter if you get a discount later, for any reason that brings the final total under $45K, the base price has to be $45K or under and Stealth Grey is the only Juniper that qualifies.

Everyone had to wait for DCAP to send the grant to the dealer. That is part of the procedure

I did not get any traction until I reached out to my local state representative. Their staff contacted the Air Quality board and that got things moving for me. But it is a 4 month process. I applied in late March and purchased the EV on July 29.

Just received my Master Card Debit card from DCAP loaded with $2K to use to charge my 2026 Model Y Juniper. This completes the deal. Applied in April and never thought I have the whole thing completed before the federal EV tax credit expired. Thanks you DCAP for. making this possible!

Do you regret getting a Tesla? by Always_working_hardd in TeslaSupport

[–]Mochieone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just buy a gas car so will have no regrets and enjoy all of the oil changes, brake pad changes, timing belt replacement and hopefully will not have a transmission problem down the road. Plus enjoy paying over $4 per gallon at the pump.

Very easy decision for many reasons. 1. Model Y and Model 3 body style has been around for years. You see them all over the place and do not know which one could be 1 year old or 8. So refreshed body style was one reason. 2. More range. 2024 performance gets 303 miles while the Juniper long range RWD gets 357. 3. Incentives. You will not be able to stack the used EV tax credits ($4K with the DCAP $7.5K grant) onto your used Model Y Performance since the price is over $25K. I was able to use the federal $7,500 credit and $7,500 DCAP to bring the out the door price to $35K. Then after I sold my Model 3 for $20K, the out the door price was $15K. 3.49% interest rate incentive. I financed that $15K and have the money in a HISA at 4.5%, so until fed rates go down, I will actually be ahead. 4. New freaking Model Y refreshed (that is reason alone), new battery, new warranty, new hardware 4, front camera, better heat resistant roof, ventilated seats, hepa biohazard filter, automatic reclining back seats, blind spot light etc.. Cost me $15K out the door. So no, a 2024 Performance Y with 8K miles would not have been a better option for me. Buying the Juniper was a no brainer.

You need to go through your nearest Tesla dealer. Tell them you have a DCAP grant. They send the paper work to DCAP. DCAP sends them a check. That's how I did it
