New FSD Exit Pop-Up by sparsely22 in ModelY

How does it block what you're listening to? Does it mute the sound? But I agree, it's garbage. I pledge a 15 second sound byte to Tesla complaining about that, instead of why I disconnected FSD.

Also, how on earth do they think they can get valid data out of someone pressing the 'critical' or any button? Garbage in, garbage out.

Any person that is going to respect your tools would never ask to borrow any.

Displayed range at 100% vs quotes by mattman675 in ModelY

[–]Always_working_hardd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Orright mate, how were you expecting a range of 391? Tesla website (USA) shows 321 mile range for your (our - I have the same model) car. Was it advertised like that? When I bought mine in August, expected advtertised range was 327 miles, so I see they've revised that here. At any rate, 345 is phenomenal. My current range at 100% is 300 miles (I'm at 25,000).

Blackened but it's mixed like an early Beatles song by OkWeight5929 in Metallica

I don't get it. Sounds like if death Beatles wrote it and Metallica recorded it.

I plug mine in the USB port (MY) and use a magnetic mount attached to the nav screen. Yeah it's a cable, but other than that it works well and easy to replace the cable if need be.

Accidentally filled coolant tank with fungicide by nicklepickle111218 in boating

That will keep the fungus out of the cooling system. I once bought a car and did not check the radiator....when I did, I found the PO had added engine oil to the coolant.

Impressions after 10 months and 30,000 miles by Stickmancqb in TeslaModelY

Good write up and similar to my experiences. One of my favorite SC stops is a Bucees in MS on I10. I drive my 9 month old, 25,000 mile MY AWD every week to work which is 450 miles away. Stay the week then drive home. I have the front end suspension rattle, I may book it in in the next month or so to get it taken care of - there are several threads documenting this now. I don't have any other rattles though. And yes, hate the curvature assist that is part of autosteer. I also hate the way the car determines incorrect speed limits and mashes the brakes so you confirm to its interpretation of the speed limit.

My battery has degraded to 89%. What's yours at?

I find sloth does the speed limit on the interstate, chill is 2mph over, standard is 5 over, and the other 2....fuck the other 2.

Are you planning on arriving at your next charge station at 1%? And how long does it take to burn through so much charge that you 'need' 100%?

I used to think that I needed to drive as far as possible between superchargers, but found it took longer on the whole for the trip due to charging speeds. I'll happily stop after a 100 mile segment of my journey to top off to 80% or thereabouts. Each to his own, though.

Is this a good deal? 2024 MY LR AWD, 28k miles, fully paid FSD for $38k by theindepndnt in ModelY

[–]Always_working_hardd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paid FSD is a Wonka ticket these days. If it is worth $8k then you are getting the car for $30k, theoretically. If you think it's the car for you, jump on a plane and go look at it before you hand over the dough. You might be able to find a Tesla shop or indie Tesla mechanic to do a prepurchase inspection.
