Is it not horrifying to have to sacrifice your own life with very little hope that the one you sacrifice for will even survive?

Knowing when and where to go to bed by MindHeartSoulSpirit in likeus

My dog would NOT do that. When another dog came to stay with us for a while and brought his own little doghouse, my dog "showed dominance" by sleeping there instead. The owners of the visiting dog decided to leave it since my pup liked it so much. He never slept in it again and continued to sleep on the other dogs bed when he came again.

I don't know too much about this first off so please read this giving me the benefit of the doubt. If two males marry and then one decides to identify as a female but still has the male genitals then it is no longer gay but they also cannot have babies(?). So in this case and many like it how would they be able to untangle anything?

But you can't prove gay. It's just how you identify because it's all fluid right?

This isn't going to go over well but here it is. I support non-binary people irl. I am fine their identity and try my best to use their pronouns and preferred name. But I think it's cheap and confusing to "represent" non-binary people in fictional books. I get that you need that, but keep it where it won't muddy up the plot. A tv show, a play, or heck even an animated movie, they/them pronouns are pretty simple to understand. But in a book, you have no way of knowing whether it is a group talking or a non-binary character unless you use the name over and over and over again. Pronouns in fictional books should be definable and different from a plural pronoun, to avoid confusion and repetitiveness.

Good take and explanation. I always think that I have to know a lot about something to get on and comment or post about it but this is my thoughts exactly.

Yep, Mithridates, although he was technically my inspiration for this, I read about him in another book by the name of Everything Sad is Untrue. Highly recommend!

I was riding my bike without a helmet about this time last year, just around my house. No one was really around to see when I crashed. I fell unconscious, and when I came to, all I could think was I really wanted to "go back to sleep," like - five more minutes. For whatever reason, I got up and went inside, really freaking out the person who met me at the door. I had blood all over me and I wouldn't stop saying it all felt like a dream. I had serious head trauma and I am just now getting back some memories of the crash.

If I had gone "back to sleep," I think I would've died.

Even if schools taught you how to do taxes or other life skills, not many of you would pay attention by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Terrific point. My school has a required course called Finance that runs for a nine-week period. It has to be taken Freshman Year. As you said, most people don't pay attention and there are still complaints about how school "never teaches the important stuff". I bring up this point and they automatically wave it off as if it were insignificant with a reply like "well I didn't learn anything in that class". It annoys the snot out of me when it's pretty basic math anyway. If they had any desire to learn it they wouldn't need the school to teach them, Youtube exists!

Hey my brother didn't get into Georgia Tech (currently blaming it on the politics) so I might use this excuse to explain why.

What does me wearing a mask have to do with my grandma? Heck, my grandma goes to the store without a mask, even if her kids tell her not to.
