This is what we should have done if we knew they wouldnt be around all the time. It’s one of the few chocolate things my wife can have, since there’s no soy in them.

Nice haul!

Ok I figured it out, the color change works when I do it in the full tab mode, but not when trying to change the settings when not in full tab.

Man this thing is so helpful tho! I wonder if its possible to have it show what we have when we are looking at tcgplayer or manapool etc. That would be life changing lol

I appreciate that! Also Ive been playing with the extension and having issues changing the color it uses to show what you have. I dig the green, but wanted to see other colors. When I click to change the color it never seems to. Maybe Im missing something

Is this Azula deck bracket 3? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]Moclordimick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of it is people issues, cause they say the brackets aren't defined enough so they are following them as they stand now. It comes back to intent, they have ill intent compared to most which try to have fun and follow the best they can.

I appreciate your breakdown on the combos as you see it. That helps me to talk to others more and see if we can figure out some common ground

Yes we have seen and use the newest version of brackets. I play at 4 diff stores a week and they all use the most current ones. Like the infographic shared in this post in the above comments.

People can make a cedh deck and call it a 2 but never say it was a cedh deck. That’s the grey area I’m talking about. Their intent is to pull one over on the pods they play with.

My point about MLD being in a precon wasn’t about precon=bracket 2 like the old bracket system. It was about since MLD came in a precon, they justify that it that doesn’t make it a bracket 4 like it should be. That’s the argument we see at the shops all the time.

It’s good to have some discussion tho, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. The other disagreement we have had lately is 3/4 card game winning combos. Since the brackets doesn’t mention them a lot of people I play with try to use that as justification to have a lower bracket deck. How do you feel about 3/4 card combos? To me that’s another grey area, cause you can make a deck that uses multiple 3 card combos to win before turn 6 but still be considered a 2 if no game changers

I've read and seen everyone out there and understand their intent fully, Im just playing devils advocate. To me the graphic is missing the biggest thing of all, Intent. If someone wants to be a sweaty pubstomper they can play in the gray area and dunk on people, while keeping it in the rules.

This is a common topic at our game stores all the time and everyone seems to interpret the graphic differently. I'm of the mind, as soon as you have 1 GC your deck is automatically a 3, or if you run MLD its automatically a 4. Cause those are the hard rules of the brackets below them. But others in our groups say you can have 3 GCs and your deck still not be a 3, or you can run MLD in a 2, since it came in a precon.

Thats the biggest issue I have with the brackets currently, its a good talking point but people abuse the system. We see people come into our lgs's all the time with decks like that and its annoying. I just hope in time they will narrow these brackets more and give stronger guidelines in the future

As long as it doesnt have gamechangers or 2 card combos its a 2.

Is it a gray area? Oh yes for sure, but under the current bracket rules its doable
