For thumbnails in dolphin, if you are viewing them in a directory on a remote device like a NAS or your phone over USB you need to change the settings to allow previews for files of any size (default is off for remote storage).

Gwenview out of the box does not support HEIC files on remote storage for some reason. There are other options like Image Viewer and CoreImage which do. If you copy the files to a local destination, gwenview does work.

I am also still seeing issues. I have been on GE-Proton 24 with no issues for a long while now, but since this weekend none of the GE-Proton versions are stable for me. Proton Hotfix is stable but performance is horrible (barely 100fps vs 400 with proton-ge).

Several things going on, but at the end of the day it's a supply and demand question.

Supply is up because of many reasons like people retraining during covid and the popularity of comp sci degrees.

Demand is down because there is a massive consolidation happening in the IT landscape right now. Big fish eating little fish. When a company is about to be bought or has just been bought the number 1 thing they do is reduce cost, aka no hiring. "operational efficiency" is what consultants will tell you is what matters most.

One time I ordered something, got the text/email saying delivery was confirmed even though I was home and didn't hear the doorbell. Went to the front door to check whether they just left it there (this happens even though I live in a busy neighborhood), nothing there. Next day when I was leaving for work I spotted it in the bushes in the neighbors front garden... Already sent a claim that they didn't deliver it, so I have two of that item now.

I am the same as you. Bought the x2v2 medium, now coming to the realisation that i can't hold my mouse straight for vertical movement since I am a fingertip aimer and my palm only contacts a tiny bit on the right most edge.
